underground hip hop

The birthplace of conscious underground hip hop, “Good Life Cafe” (Orejuela, 2021, p. 169), had four rules for the youth to perform hip hop.

What are your thoughts on the rules/guidelines?

Should other venues have encouraged this as well?

Would the rules hinder creativity/self-expression or encourage positive, healthy living?

The RESEARCH PAPER expands on the 1-2 page Paper Proposal you have already submitted. You may not change topics at this time.
Format: 1300 – 1500 words, double spaced, 12 point type, citations in end note form (these do not count toward length and must be in MLA or UChicago form). Images should also be attached at the end (these also do not count toward length).
Using sources that your TA has approved at the Proposal stage, build on and develop the perspective on the object at hand using your research. Try to stay close to the thesis statement (double check every paragraph to be sure it is consistent with the thesis statement objective). Try reading just the topic sentences of the paragraphs (the first sentence should set up the subject matter of each paragraph). Be sure these give you a schematic overview of the paper.
Tips: Try to think of the experience of the reader. Consider having a friend, family member, or classmate read the paper and ask them to circle what is awkward, unclear, repetitive, or seems to depart too far from your thesis statement. Try reading the paper out loud to see what your ear catches as awkward or wordy. Try to find the pleasure in descriptive writing as something that can evoke the vitality of these objects.
RESEARCH PAPER GRADING RUBRIC
300 Points Total
1. The introductory paragraph has an opening line that invites the reader to continue reading. May take any form, but is not likely to work if it just names the work and its dates! 20 points
2. Introductory paragraph introduces the fundamentals of the project. 20 points
3. The thesis statement is clear. It states an opinion about the object/s. 20 points.
4. A sequence of three to five paragraphs that tie back to the thesis statement in a way builds up to an argument. These should contain historic information that addresses the context and audience for the object. This is where you use the research citations named above. 50 points
5. Every paragraph has a topic sentence that indicates the subject matter of that paragraph. If you string these together, you should have a basic outline. 50 points.
6. A concluding paragraph that restates the thesis/opinion in terms that show you have proven your point. If possible, in the conclusion you may indicate where the argument would go if the paper were longer or how you would improve the paper if you had a semester to expand it. 50 points
7. Catchy title: Should give general sense of the topic. Can be serious, humorous, literary, descriptive. 20 points
8. Grammar/Spelling: 50 points (minus two points per grammatical or spelling error). Hint: Run a grammar check. Run a spell check. Proofreading is essential to good writing.
9. RESEARCH RULES: Using the sources that your TA has approved, build on and develop the perspective on the object at hand using your research. Quotes should not exceed two lines, so only use the part of a text that supports or complicates your argument. If you are tempted to use a quotation for a listing of data, don’t! Reword the data and be sure to cite the source of the data (so you don’t get in trouble for plagiarizing someone’s hard work assembling it). You must cite all quotes and paraphrasing. For citation format, follow the MLA or Chicago Manual of Style Guidelines at: http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html.: 20 points

Write a well-crafted essay of about 1500 words on the interrelationship between theologies of religions, comparative theology, and Scriptural Reasoning

THE PAPER’S TECHNICAL COMPONENTS

1. BASIC FORM: It is expected that academic papers will be submitted as hard copies on standard 8.5″ x 11″
paper or by e-mail attachment, if the professor allows. Excluding the title page, footnotes, and bibliography, the
paper should be double-spaced. Cover pages or folders are to be used only for papers longer than ten pages. The
paper title, your name, the professor’s name, the course name, and date of submission appear on the cover page
for a longer paper or at the top of the first page for a shorter one. Please submit the original paper and always
keep a copy for yourself, in the event a paper is lost in transit.
– Margins: Left: 1.5″ Right: 1″
Top: 1″ Bottom: 1″

2. CITATION OF SOURCES: The Seminary requires that academic papers follow the style guidelines found in
Kate Turabian’s A Manual for Writers, or The Chicago Manual of Style. There are two different methods of
documentation:
A. Notes (footnotes or endnotes) with a Bibliography (most professors prefer footnotes)
B. Parenthetical references with a List of References
These two methods differ significantly with respect to format, punctuation, order of information, etc. The
following sections, Notes with Bibliography and Parenthetical References with List of References, set forth the two
approaches. Use one or the other method, NOT A MIXTURE OF BOTH. Ask your instructor which method
he or she prefers.
A. NOTES WITH BIBLIOGRAPHY: This method is the one generally used unless the paper/project involves
a social science topic. Please note the following features:
– Footnotes or endnotes (henceforth “notes”) begin with an author’s first name. Bibliography listings begin with

In Module 10 you were directed to develop an essay on some aspect of the theology of religions, comparative theology, Scriptural Reasoning, or the interelationship of these approaches to religious diversity.

This is the place to submit that essay in its final form.
Use the submission portal provided here. We will discuss these papers in our final class session.

In case you have forgotten, here the explicit instructions for this assignment:
Write a well-crafted essay of about 1500 words on the interrelationship between theologies of religions, comparative theology, and Scriptural Reasoning. (Alternatively, with Dr Mosher’s permission, you may write on a topic of your choosing that is relevant to this course.)
To be “well-crafted,” your essay should have a formal introduction and a formal conclusion. In between, it must offer at least three insights or make three comparisons. In making those points, there must be reference to at least five academic sources. Appropriate sources include a monograph, a chapter from a peer-reviewed edited volume, a peer-reviewed journal, a lecture (live or video), scripture and other classical literature. Some podcasts may be appropriate. (Not appropriate: Wikipedia and other online encyclopedias.)
Be sure to cite your sources properly, according to Chicago Manual of Style. The HIU guide sheet is posted in “Preliminary Matters.”
Do not plagiarize!

Research recent efforts to increase the state and federal minimum wage and the
concept of a “sustainable” or a “living wage.” Focus on the arguments that are made for
and against raising minimum income guarantees. Explore the experiments with sustainable wages in cities like San Francisco, New York, or Washington D.C. and how they have affected workers and businesses. Decide whether you support California implementing a sustainable wage program, using “Serving in Florida” for support.

I already got the proposal, and the feedback from my teacher.
Please continue this assignment according to the proposal and make adjustments based on the feedback. Thank you.

Here are some examples, please look at them first as an insipiration, thank you.

Feedback:
Focusing on stereotypes within the visual culture, is a good central focus. However, it would be better if you selected one stereotype, such as elderly job seekers, and how they are depicted in the imagery. To be as specific as possible. Also, be sure to cite the images.

ASSESSMENT ITEM 1: DESCRIPTION
Students should write three (3) short essays (800-1000 words for each one excluding references) one for each of the issues/questions listed below related to the Target Case study that is the focus of all the assessment in the subject. Each essay should have the same structure:

– Your personal response to the issue/question – what you think you would do if you were in the organisation responsible for destination marketing/planning/management (200-250 words)
– The argument and evidence that supports your response that is based on the material covered in the lectures/required readings and any additional academic material you have read. You need to present a logical argument supported by relevant evidence from the subject materials and your additional reading. This section must be properly referenced (450-550 words)
– What key lesson you have learnt from the subject material (referencing exactly where in the material the relevant information was found) that you think was most helpful in addressing the issue/question (150-200 words)
– References ( in APA format) Three Case Study Issues/Questions
a. A common argument in discussions of tourism/events and sustainability is that tourism planning and destination management needs to be guided by a different set of indicators than tourist numbers or expenditure. Provide 3 alternative measures of tourism success focused on improving the sustainability of tourism at the target case study destination.
b. Describe one policy instrument that could be used, and how it could be used specifically, to enhance the contribution of tourism to one type of community wellbeing capital relevant to the target case study destination.
c. One consistent response from the destination residents is that they wanted to be more engaged in tourism governance. Suggest one way of empowering the target case study destination residents in tourism planning and governance.
ASSESSMENT ITEM 1: CRITERIA SHEET (OR RUBRIC)
All students must achieve the following minimum standards on core criteria to pass. In other words if you don’t achieve the following criteria you fail no matter the content and other features of the assessment. Students who exceed the minimum standard may be awarded additional marks for their extra effort. Submissions that are identified as having significant numbers of unacknowledged sources will be automatically failed.ASSESSMENT ITEM 1: DESCRIPTION

What other imaging modality can be used to assess TMJ (temporomandibular joint)disc position compared to the current gold standard which is MRI.

Literature review structure:
Most literature reviews and articles follow a very similar pattern and it is one that you should be able to identify and use for your own literature review. Articles from Radiography, British Journal of Radiology AJR or European Radiology are particularly useful as a start but there will be many other sources, and most will have a roughly similar structure as in Figure 1. The tables here are a suggested structure that you may identify and want to use.
Introduction
The introduction is exactly what it says in the title – an introduction to the subject, which sets the scene.
It should detail the relevance of the study and give detail of processes concerned. For example – if an anatomical area is the main focus then descriptions of the processes involved that necessitates imaging/treatment……… or if a change of role, a brief history and rationale …………or if new protocols, what are they replacing and why are they important?
The point is to give context to your literature review so the reader is prepared and can see the relevance of what follows. You may need some historical references, older than 5 years, to show this.
This might be a good place to highlight the themes that will be discussed in the main body of your review.
Try and end this section with a statement why the literature review is necessary.
It is good practice to re-read and thoroughly edit this section at the time you have completed your final conclusions so that both ends of the work are ‘singing the same song’.
Also make sure your title matches these two sections.
Methodology
This is an essential but not necessarily large section. This part contains the processes that you have used to include and exclude material for the literature review. It needs to include your searching strategies. e.g. the terms/key words applied on whichever database(s), the year range, the language (only in English for instance) and other filtering data so that anyone else can complete the same search and get the same number of papers as you.
It is likely that you will go through several cycles of searching to focus and refine your search, so keep a record and explain what you have done. Do consider the PRISMA flow chart/decision table (see last page) this is a very useful supplement to your text and does not add many words.
Note: you are reviewing current literature that is PRIMARY RESEARCH. Therefore, if there is a recent literature or systematic review (ie 2019) that has already reviewed the current literature you are using, you should be looking for another subject! But please discuss this with your supervisor.
There may be other approaches you could take:
• If there are several systematic reviews, you could review all of the reviews (this is a major review and not recommended, it is very hard!)
• If the recent review does not discuss aspects of past primary research papers, you could review those aspects, make sure you explain why.
• If the recent review does not effectively discuss the past material you could utilise it but be very clear why it does not address the issue clearly.
• If there are more than 6 more recent quality papers, then review them on the basis of the changes or similarities of the last published literature/systematic review or meta-analysis
All the above are hard, we are making it easier for you, reviewing primary research is far easier.
I recommend that at the end of this section you should provide a table to identify the articles selected with any relevant material that would discriminate between them.
You will see these in some published literature reviews, and the table below is an example of how you might do this. Note that the words in the table are included in your word count (although not if it is in an appendix. IF this goes in the appendix it will not be marked so you will need an explanation of it in the methodology …. It is simpler to place it in the methodology!)
A table like this will help delineate the themes you use in the discussion section.

Discussion section
This is the main element of the literature review and would form the bulk of your word allocation. It will be composed of discussion point’s around the themes you have identified as running – or missing from – the papers you have under review.
When comparing literature, you will find some common themes if the subject matter / research is similar. Don’t ask us for what those themes can be, you will only find that yourself by reading several (not just one) papers and looking for commonalities and elements that answer what you are looking for. You will need a brief rationale for selecting these themes, this could accompany the table in the methodology or even be included in the introduction.
There is no set number of themes and some may have more importance (and size) than others. Having themes will help you structure your work. You can mention in your work any theme that might be missing from one or two papers that is common in the others.
One theme is too few and ten too many, we suggest between 4 and 8 but this is only a guide and not a rule. One theme may be only a few lines, others could be several paragraphs.
The themes can be standalone but each will need a discussion comparing what is and is not published. Headings highlighting each might help you construct the work.
DO remember the weighting for marks is far higher for analysis, synthesis and discussion than description, YOU need to make something of what all the papers are stating, so a discussion section whether attached to each theme or as a combination for all themes (your choice) is essential for the health of your marks! A paragraph describing something that is published does not gain as much as a similar sized paragraph that analyses, discusses and synthesises the same material in conjunction with other material…check out the marking grid)
It may be appropriate to evaluate the quality of the sources you use in relation to each theme. Somewhere an element of evaluation of each source needs to appear this could be included in any of the discussion sections about a theme (eg Bloggs’ 2015 paper only targeted 30 patients whereas Smith and Jones’ 2019 paper was far more robust with 300 patients)
A summary overview may be of value but if you are going to repeat yourself in the conclusion it may be unnecessary but sometimes a summary of a complex theme before you move to the next has value.
Conclusion:

Appendices if you use them, they are not marked, should not contain information that you feel the reader must read as this should be in the text of your work.
