Titration Experiment

Your lab assignment presentation involves putting together a PowerPoint to show other students how to
perform titration. In other words, your presentation can be used to show other students (next term), how
they can perform titration by following your instructions and calculations.

To do this presentation (minimum of 6 slides, in Power Point Format), we are providing you with an acid,
acetic acid HC2H3O2 and the base (NaOH), and you will use phenolphthalein as an indicator. You will
create a mock titration experiment and use given hypothetical date (volume of vinegar, Molarity of NaOH and volume of NaOH fore three trials) to solve the titration calculations. At the end of your presentation,
you will calculate (1) the unknown concentration of the acetic acid (Molarity) and (2) the % mass/vol of
the vinegar solution.

Here is a video that illustrates the titration process and necessary calculations:

Case Analysis:The Federal Aviation Act of 1958

In 2019, my family and I took a day trip to the Grand Canyon. Upon arriving at the South Rim lookout point and Scenic View, I was struck by two large plaques that seemed to represent sentries guarding hallowed ground. Upon closer review, I realized that these two metal engravings memorialized the horrific aircraft accident that took place on June 30, 1956.Here is the story:
~Reflections from Shawn Arena, Course Developer
Read Grand Canyon Collision – The greatest commercial air tragedy of its day! (http://www.doney.net/aroundaz/grandcanyoncrash.htm) from doney.net, which details the circumstances surrounding one of the most prolific aircraft accidents of all time—the June 1956 mid-air collision between two commercial aircraft over the Grand Canyon. Prepare a case analysis addressing the factors surrounding the enactment of the Federal Aviation Act of 1958.

Your paper will automatically be evaluated through Turnitin when you submit your assignment in this activity. Turnitin is a service that checks your work for improper citation or potential plagiarism by comparing it against a database of web pages, student papers, and articles from academic books and publications. ***New instruction From Professor: The Federal Aviation Act of 1958 (100 points). With this assignment, I recommend a Back to the Future mentality. Assume it is two weeks since the Grand Canyon mid-air collision and the Federal Aviation Act has not yet been enacted. Your job is to identify the problem and make a recommendation that fixes it. This is a one to two-page paper (450 to 900 words or less).
The general purpose of a case analysis is to:
→ describe an individual situation (case) in detail;
→ identify the key issues of the case;
→ analyze the case;
→ recommend a course of action for that particular case.

Lesson 8: These last chapters look at customer satisfaction and the challenges in international growth. Three key issues are communication, feedback, and change management. These are three simple concepts but perhaps deceptively so. None of them are easy to accomplish without the work and investment. In today’s environment, one of the key communication tools is the Internet. It may be considered the “dream tool” in international trade and certainly has specific advantages. However, it must be intentionally managed as has its own downsides.

“Night to His Day”: The Social Construction of Gender Judith Lorber

Instructions: Before participating in this discussion, please make sure that you have read Ch 11, and the article “Night to His Day” by Judith Lorber. It is also a good idea to watch the lecture on Gender. Also, make sure that you are 1) Including at least one or more quotes from the assigned reading and 2) You are responding to a classmate as well as part of your weekly discussion. I have noticed that these two things are the main reasons some students are not earning full credit on these assignments.
1. What does Judith Lorber mean when she writes: “For Individuals, Gender Means Sameness” and “For Society, Gender Means Difference”?
2. What were some ways in which you were taught to be “similar” to other members of your same gender? (Think of your own gender socialization).
3. What does it mean to “do gender?” What are some ways that you do gender? Are there any ways that you attempt to resist doing gender?

Constitution Day Presentation

The following principles have been recognized as core tenets of the U.S. Constitution:
Checks and balances
Federalism
Judicial review
Limited government
Popular sovereignty
Separation of powers

You may select a grade level 1-12, teachers, or parents as your audience. Please specify your intended audience and include other pertinent information within the speaker notes. Your presentation should be engaging and appropriate for your chosen audience. Include speaker notes below each content-related slide that represent what would be said if giving the presentation in person. Expand upon the information included in the slide and do not simply restate it. Please ensure the speaker notes include a minimum of 50-100 words in your speaker notes per slide.
In addition to your PowerPoint, include a 250-500-word essay describing two interactive learning activities for your intended audience to coincide with your presentation.
While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.
You are not required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite.

Multiple Baseline Design Graph

Multiple Baseline Design Graph

sample assignment attached and scoring guide

Use Microsoft Excel to sketch a line graph that effectively communicates quantitative relationships in a multiple baseline design across subjects with hypothetical data. Be sure to include all six components of a complete graph.

Assume that you have recorded data for a target behavior of two individuals in a single setting. Using the data, demonstrate the effectiveness of a treatment that includes both self-monitoring and awareness training to decrease the frequency of an undesirable behavior. You will submit two graphs with two phases for this assignment. Include specific labels about the behavior recorded and treatment phases.

Be sure to include all six components of a complete graph:

A chart title.
Both axis labels on the graph.
Condition labels.
Phase change lines. Be sure to incorporate them appropriately.
Figure caption.
Participant Labels.
Be sure that the data series represent dependent behavior consistently through the graph and to label participants’ data series. Also remember to include two phases for each participant.

Note: Keep in mind that you will need to use this graph as a basis for your Hypothetical Case Study assignment due in Unit 8. Refer to the Unit 8 assignment and scoring guide to understand its requirements and how it may impact your graph.

Why do we write literature reviews? Why is it important to use peer-reviewed research articles when conducting literature reviews?”

I need a response to a classmates discussion post:
Initial questions is “Why do we write literature reviews? Why is it important to use peer-reviewed research articles when conducting literature reviews?”

A literature review is a paper that discusses published information in a particular subject area, and sometimes information on a particular subject within a certain time period. A literature review is a re-organization of important information pertaining to a particular subject. The writing may give a new interpretation of old material, or it may combine new ideas with old interpretations (Literature Reviews, 2022). Most people will end up writing a literature review at some point or another. People who are in the sciences and social sciences are the main people who will write a literature review. Literature reviews help provide a framework, especially in medicine and healthcare, to help individuals understand and study topics both new and old. A literature review can provide you with a guide to any particular topic. People who are limited on the amount of time they have to research a certain topic may prefer to search literature reviews because they can act as an overview of the main subject, or act as a stepping stone to find better articles. Many healthcare professionals use literature reviews as a device to keep themselves current on changing topics in the field. For example, one literature review may provide insight on new medications to better treat an illness compared to the standard, traditional way. A literature review also provides a solid background for a research paper. The literature review can be used to investigate topics to get a large sum of information in a smaller work. Scholars enjoy writing literature reviews because the depth of the review can help emphasize the credibility of the writer in their particular field. An extensive knowledge of the field is required to write most research papers, so a literature review is a good way to prioritize and organize existing information (Literature Reviews, 2022).
The peer review process typically involves sending submitted works to two or three individuals who are selected by the editor, to judge the value of the work. In very selective journals, very few works ever make it to the peer review process. The peer review process is normally performed by healthcare professionals who have a full-time editorial position who have developed skills in medical writing and editing. Works that are submitted to be peer reviewed are private, confidential property of the author, but authors may be harmed by premature disclosure of information in the work. The person reviewing the work should have constructive comments that are honest and polite, and they should declare their conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from the peer review process if a conflict exists. The peer review process as a whole is regarded as an extension of basic principles involving science and scholarship and has existed for more than 200 years (Forister & Blessing, 2020). To have a peer reviewed article is considered a critical quality control component and should be something that every author strives to achieve. I know if I was a writer, I would want my work to be evaluated by the best in order to be the best.
