Compare and contrast the costing methods used in this project, including which you believe provides the most useful information as a manager.

Cookie Business
In this project, you will be opening your own specialty cookie company to see how product costing methods and changes in production affect business decisions. You will be creating a series of reports and analyzing the results using the template provided to guide you through the project.
The learning objectives of this project are as follows:
Gain an understanding of product costing (direct materials, direct labor, and overhead).
Review job order costing.
Review process costing.
Make business decisions based on analyzing accounting data.
You will prepare a four- to five-page written report (including spreadsheets) with at least two scholarly sources using the Unit II Project Template . Your report will provide the following information:

Introduction
Part 1: Establish a cookie business selling only one type of specialty cookie with two employees making the cookies.
Create a name and establish a location for the business.
Construct a mission statement for the business.
Decide on the type of cookie you want to make and sell.
Part 2: Develop costing and sales information for 1,000 cookies.
Estimate and explain the cost per cookie based on job order costing (manufacturing overhead is 30% of direct labor costs). Prepare a job order cost sheet by researching and identifying the top five ingredients and their estimated costs as your direct materials. Research and identify the cost of wages for your two employees as your direct labor. It typically takes two days to make 1,000 cookies.
Estimate and explain the cost per cookie based on process costing with 40% conversion costs. Identify the top three processes you feel are needed to make the cookies and prepare a production cost sheet for one of those processes.
Estimate and explain the sales price you plan to set per cookie based on the cost data.
Part 3: Compare and contrast the costing methods used in this project, including which you believe provides the most useful information as a manager.
Part 4: Discuss what will happen to revenue if the number of the cookies sold increases or decreases.

Conclusion and Recommendations
Use the Unit II Cookie Project Spreadsheet Templates for your job order, and process costing spreadsheets to be embedded in your case study document.
Be sure to use APA formatting throughout and reach out to the Writing Center or the Library for assistance with research, writing, and formatting. Include at least two resources from the CSU Online Library in your report.

Introduction to Unit II From Your Professor
Welcome to Unit II. In this unit, we will discuss two different costing methods, job order and process costing. We will also look at how various costs of products or services are accumulated and tracked using costing sheets or reports and how the data is entered into the accounting system of the company.
Upon completion of this unit, you will be able to apply accounting concepts and standards to the creation of accounting information and reports. Prepare reports using both job order and process costing methods. Analyze accounting information used to make strategic business decisions. Define job order and process costing. And compare and contrast the use of job order and process costing.

Important: For the Unit 2 Project:
Please carefully follow the detailed specific requirements
This is a straightforward assignment about job order and process costing methods.
Please only discuss the required elements which is job order and process costing methods.
This assignment is not about the cookie or the Cookie Company.
We could have easily used candy, tires, or the infamous, ‘widgets’ but we choose to use cookies for this assignment.
Remember that scholarly writing is succinct and clear.
Please only discuss the required elements which is job order and process costing methods.

Green, “Race and Ethnicity”(pages 159) and “Gender and Politics

Read: Green, “Race and Ethnicity”(pages 159) and “Gender and
Politics pages(174)
These reflections
will include your name and a sub-heading for each reading. For each reading you will write at least one
paragraph (you are welcome to write more if you wish), in which you will answer
the following questions:

·
What
did you not understand or find new and challenging from the reading?
·
What
questions for class discussion did it raise?
·
What
did you find most useful in the reading?
·
What
new terms and concepts were contained in the reading?

Note that these
reading questions/reflections should not
be a summary of the readings. The
purpose is: 1) that you demonstrate you have done the reading and given thought
to it – WE WILL LOOK VERY CAREFUL THAT YOU DEMONSTRATE YOU ACTUALLY DID THE
READINGS; 2) to identify what you think is important to discuss in class in
relation to the course.

Introduction

Background: My discipline is
Information Systems (IS) and my research is about designing online surveys in
the e-health research context. This online survey software is used to collect
data from participants from various studies. Thus, supporting online research. These
studies are hosted by the online portal “u-care”. The entire facility is part
of the U-CARE research program where the idea is to deliver care online via the
u-care portal. Basically, researchers/therapists/practitioners conduct studies
via the u-care portal, where participants are put randomly into different
groups (control/treatment/reference). This is determined by a screening
questionnaire (in the baseline observation point) upon the severity on how
participants score. This is called Randomized Control Trial (RCT). Participants
are further asked periodically on different observation points to fill in
online questionnaires via the u-care portal as part of their care activities by
the care giver. My research idea here is twofold. First, the design of online
survey that supports the Randomized Control Trail (RCT) logic. Second, we log
participants’ activities while they are answering surveys/questionnaires. This
is called Respondent Behavior Logging (RBL). For example, when respondents open
a questionnaire, answer a question, go to the next page, change answers, delete
answers, and submit questionnaires and so on. The idea here is, by looking into
the log data, we can develop a system of inquiry to evaluate the effectiveness
of questionnaires/surveys. Therefore, the design and development of the RCT
logic and RBL is intended to provide rich support for researchers to design research
and treatment protocols and investigate their effects.

Task: Open the thesis.pdf file.
There is only one task. Hints for the task are marked in yellow in the thesis
page 13 so that you know the context in which the text should fall into.
1. Task #1 in page 13 (marked in yellow). Please
follow the hint. The answer for this task should be 3 pages long.

Exploring a bill or law

Exploring a Bill or a Law (Can be about the recent bill introduced related to capping travel nursing wages)
Become familiar with the Web sites for government documents and other information related to health care policy.
Keep notes about the sites you visit.
Locate one law or bill (state or federal) related to health care or policy that interests you. This can be a bill in progress, one that did not get passed, or one that became a law.
Write a report of the bill or law. Obtain your information from the Web sites, newspaper articles, journal articles, and you may even interview those involved.
Components Expected in the Report
The historical background. Why this issue was important enough for someone to bring it forth as a bill? Who was the author of the bill?
What was the intention of the bill? How has it/might it effect health care policy?
Who supported it and who did not? What were the major arguments for and against passage? Did any health care organizations take a position on it? What was the time line for the bill?
If it did become a law, who is responsible for implementing the law. If it did not, has this become a ‘dead’ issue? Is someone working on another bill with similar aim?
What are your thoughts about this bill/law?

Yahtzee Game

1. I have copied the project file over to notepad and provided the link. You will need to copy and paste it over to a new java project on IntelliJ and name it YahtzeeP1.
2. Look for comments that are prefaced by the following character sequence: //*** within the file.
3. Your instructions are these line comments.
4. I highly recommend that you download two copies of the Starter File – one to be used as instructions reference and one to be modified with your code. The reason is that the instructions in the Starter File will reference some of the line numbers of code in order to provide more clarity and when you modify the program file, this will change the line numbers associated with specific lines of code.
5. Programs that do not compile without errors will receive an automatic score of 50%.Warnings are okay and will not result in a loss of points.
6. As indicated in the assignment starter file instructions, all code that you are instructed to write must be commented by you. Commenting will be at least 10% of your assignment grade.
7. In other words, the highest possible grade will be a “B” for a perfectly working program with poor or no comments.
8. A completed Project 1 will not have all of the functionality of a fully working Yahtzee game. Projects 2, 3 and the Final Project will build on this Project. Therefore, each subsequent Project will add and/or change game functionality.
