I need for this assignment is the following to be addressed. The essay is attached that needs to be edited. Its labeled “edited this essay” No sources. This essay was already
submitted to the teacher and this is the comments I received back:

“This
is a good start. I can see that you have a solid grasp of the ideas in the
reading, but your exploration of your own writing process is quite elusive.
Tell me more about yourself! You could open the essay, for example, with a
story or event/experience involving writing that was joyful or painful. You
mention that your reviews were cancelled. What do you mean? Can you say more
about this? When discussing Celestine and the relationship between reading and
writing, talk about your reading habits. Do you have any favorite books? How
has your reading affected the way you think about writing? Is this something
you want to explore ealier on in the essay? What is the most important thing
you want me to see about your writing? As you expand, include quotes from the
reading.

Below are old sources just incase you need to use it.

3 Required Sources: only use these 3 sources.
1.Lamott, “Shitty First Drafts” pdf attached.
2. Davidson, “On Writer’s Block” web link attached
below. Answer the questions below as part of the
assignment. Read both web links.
Many students and experienced writers have trouble starting
writing. The causes for this can be manifold. If you were taught to use
the five-paragraph formula, for example, your teacher might have told you to
start your essay with an introduction, but how can one introduce something one
hasn’t written yet? You might also feel paralyzed because you remember
negative feedback, or you might stop yourself frequently to reread and correct
surface errors.
Have you experienced any of the types of writer’s block
described here? What are some strategies suggested here that you might
want to try out?

3. Celestine, “Did I Create the Process? Or Did the Process
Create Me?” pdf attached. Answer the questions below as part of the
assignment.
Take
a few minutes to review the reading: What does Celestine say about the
relationship between reading and writing? He explains that students are often
urged to write to please others, to write what others want. How does this
compare to your own experience of writing? Are there voices that encourage you
to write or hold you back? What does the author say about the environment
needed to write?
Celestine
wrote this essay for a first-year college writing class. How did he organize
his essay? How does he use details to illustrate his point?

The Constitution itself is frequently seen by Americans primarily as a means of securing the rights and liberties of the citizens. Is that the case? What was in fact the process by which those protections were added to the Constitution, and why were they not in the original document? From the perspective of the Founders, what was the purpose of the Constitution? Was it effective in securing those goals? Why or why not?

veryone knows the American Revolution was fought for freedom, democracy, and equality, right? To establish a just new society, free from the limitations of Europe’s hereditary nobility and open to anyone with talent and ambition? Well, not exactly.
American society of the late 18th century was in fact rather more restrictive than is commonly realized today. The Revolution did in fact bring an impulse to greater freedom and democracy – an impulse that was strongly resisted by many of America’s leading citizens. Many of the Founding Fathers in fact considered democracy to be a dangerous and destabilizing influence, and fought to restrict it.

One of the key things to remember about the American Revolution is that it wasn’t actually very revolutionary. It was a rebellion by imperial colonies against the rule of the mother country, a war for independence, but not revolutionary in the sense that is commonly understood. Comparison to the French Revolution is useful. The French Revolution was primarily a rebellion by the lower classes against the ruling monarchy and nobles – in other words, an attempt to overthrow the government and create a new one in its place. The American Revolution, by contrast, was led by the American ruling classes. The leaders of the American Revolution were actually attempting to preserve the structure of their own society, and their place as leaders of it, so the sort of radical democracy and destruction of the ruling classes that the French Revolution attempted to impose was the last thing they wanted to see.

So despite the primary goal of political separation from England, the American Revolution was in many ways a conservative movement, and the nature of the government created by the American ruling elite, otherwise known as the Founding Fathers, reflects this.

The defects of the original American governing document, the Articles of Confederation, had become obvious even during the Revolution. What were those defects, and why did they prompt the Founders to decide on an entirely new governmental structure, rather than attempting to “fix” the original Articles? Even after the war ended along with the stresses and expenses of trying to fight it, the government under the Articles proved to be relatively powerless and ineffective. But wasn’t that what the Revolution had been about? Overthrowing the rule of a too-powerful and tyrannical government? Letting the individual colonies, now states, run their own affairs? Local governments, responsive to the will of the people? So why did so many feel it necessary to create an entirely new governing document, one that was almost entirely different from the original Articles?

What were the origins of the Federalist movement, and why did it gain such power so quickly and easily? How was it that Federalists came to dominate the process which produced the new Constitution? How did that Constitution reflect the values and ideas that the Federalists espoused?

The Constitution itself is frequently seen by Americans primarily as a means of securing the rights and liberties of the citizens. Is that the case? What was in fact the process by which those protections were added to the Constitution, and why were they not in the original document? From the perspective of the Founders, what was the purpose of the Constitution? Was it effective in securing those goals? Why or why not?

The great sectional issues that are often mentioned as being pivotal in the framing of the Constitution – slavery, the location of the nation’s capital, representation in Congress – how important were they really in the crafting of the document? Were these issues as divisive as they are often portrayed?
Bottom line, as drawn from the above commentary — and the primary question you should address — is: Did the contested issues have the potential to derail the entire process, or were they simply “working out the details” of much larger and more important issues?

The Zombie

The chosen argument is the Zombie Argument. A philosophical zombie or p-zombie argument is a thought experiment in philosophy of mind that imagines a hypothetical being that is physically identical to and indistinguishable from a normal person but does not have conscious experience, qualia, or sentience.

(1) Choose either Chalmers or Churchland
(2) Reconstruct the central argument of their paper–in your own words and in accordance with the guidelines from our class on arguments.
(3) Explain and defend:
What each premise means,
Why the author believes each premise to be true, and
Why the author believes each premise, taken together, provides adequate support for the conclusion.
For all of these: your explanation and defense should make use of textual evidence in the form of short quotations from the assigned text. These quotations should support, but not replace your own explanations.
The paper should include: A (very brief) introduction, a formal statement of the argument, an explanation and defense of each premise, an explanation and defense of the argument’s conclusion (here, the ‘defense’ should explain why this conclusion follows from these premises), and a (very brief) conclusion. Each of these components should be a distinct paragraph, including separate paragraphs for each premise. All told, the paper should have at least 6 paragraphs.

Ethics Case Analysis

You are expected to write an argumentative essay. The aim is to identify an ethical business challenge within the case provided on pg. 5 of this assignment outline, to propose decision-making strategies based on appropriate consideration of multiple ethical theories, and to offer argumentation to advance your analysis. The quality and rigour of your thought are more important than the theory you choose as superior.

Read the case provided on page 5 of this assignment outline. Identify the key ethical challenge the person described in the case faces. The key ethical challenge should be stated in the form of, “In this case, I must choose between [action 1] or [action 2].”
2) Select four from the six decision-making approaches listed in the box to the right. Apply each of the four selected approaches to the ethical challenge:
(e.g., a) identify the basic values each approach is concerned with,
b) explore the factors each approach would take into account in the case, and
c) state what action each approach would justify in this case).
Note: Different decision-making approaches might justify similar responses, but the justification for each response produced by applying each approach will be different.
3) Weighing the actions each of the decision-making approaches would justify in this situation, indicate the approach that is superior, and the course of action this approach would justify in this case. Explain your reasoning.
APPROACHES (text pgs. 14-22, 37-40, 43)
– ethical egoism
– utilitarianism
– virtue ethics
– categorical imperative
– caring (feminist)
– Rawlsian justice

3) Do not use section or sub-section titles.
4) You should not use quotations. You are allowed to paraphrase the ideas of others (proper
source citation is still required.)
5) The body of the essay should be written in 12-point text, and double-spaced.
6) Do not include extra blank lines between paragraphs beyond what double-spacing inserts.
(For an example, refer to how the body of the text on pg. 5 is formatted.)
7) Essay margins should be 2.5 cm/1 inch.
8) Number all pages in the top right corner.

A Good Day for SalesCo
You work as one of 50 marketing agents for SalesCo, a telemarketing firm focused on
selling office supplies to businesses. The firm offers a low base salary to its marketing agents,
but provides significant bonuses based on meeting or exceeding weekly sales targets.
This morning, one of your co-workers, John, asked if you could cover their phone for
an hour while they went to get a covid vaccination. You agreed, as this co-worker has done
similar favours for you in the past. John mentioned that they were expecting an important
call from a client.
15 minutes after John left the office, their phone rang. You picked up the call. It was
from Bob Jones, a purchasing agent with Printstuff, a large printing company that is opening a
new location. A manager at an existing PrintStuff location, who is already one of your firm’s
customers, recommended John to Bob Jones because John offered excellent customer
service. Jones wanted to place a significant order for office supplies. He also indicated that he
would likely be placing large weekly orders for paper and printing supplies from now on.
You face a choice regarding how to proceed with the call. What ethical decision-making
approach is most helpful in deciding what you will do, and why?

Las Vegas Mass Shooting
Gun
control has always been a debate dating back to 1934 when the National Firearms
Act (NFA) took place. Despite the
majority of the public acting against this policy catastrophic events such as
the Las Vegas mass shooting has taken place.
According to Masters (2014), nearly twenty thousand Americans lost their
lives to guns, the highest toll in more than two decades; and the trend looks
likely to continue through 2021. The right to bear arms has been the staple argument
behind the people who have acted against this policy. What is it going to take
for legislation to understand that guns are out of control? Background checks are one thing but are they
stringent enough to weed out the bad guys who are purchasing these firearms.
When we look back to the tragic day Paddock killed 58
people during a country concert, we have to ask ourselves why the motive
for this massacre was the alleged shooter was a wealthy accountant who loved everyone
and spent most of his time blowing hundreds of dollars in casinos. He wasn’t a bad guy so buying a gun wasn’t an
issue he passed all the background checks with flying colors. Gun control is far from being the issue because
good people should be allowed to own a firearm. The question we should be
asking is how the casino security allowed for this man to enter with all these
weapons. After the shooting, the first thing that was established was room
security measures, followed by tighter security measures. This is what needs to be done not attack gun
owners who thrive on recreational use.

Academic Opinion Essay Specifics
For four of the required books for this course, you will be required to write an opinion essay that evaluates designated sections of the texts. The Academic Opinion Essays will be based on the books assigned as course readings. Note that the point of the opinion essays is to discuss your personal reaction to the book – what you felt about it, what you liked and didn’t like, and why. These essays are not intended to be an objective analysis of the book, but rather a purely personal reaction to it. The purpose of these assignments is to help students understand and identify the degree to which their own personal reaction to a book influences their analysis of it.
These essays are to be relatively brief – a minimum of 500 words, and a maximum of 750 words. They are not research papers – that is, there is no need for a bibliography or citations (unless you quote directly from the book or reference other books). In order to provide some additional guidance, as background, I have attached a copy of Dziennik’s (peer-reviewed) 2017 commentary on The Fatal Land: War, Empire, and the Highland Soldier in British America. This is the general, academic format your essay should follow. Do not overthink this assignment – again, there are no right or wrong opinions – and if you follow the general approach of the Dziennik piece – not the column format, of course, normal essay formatting – you should be fine.
