Total Quality Management (TQM) Strategy
As a company implements a TQM strategy, consider all the changes that need to occur. Using your organization, explain the difference between how a company may solve problems versus its process of decision making. How could the PDCA cycle be applied to your organization? How can the company use Quality Function Deployment (QFD)? Why might the company want to use quality tools before employing a statistical process control (SPC)? And finally, how does the company implement a continuous improvement strategy?

Write a well-researched critical thinking oriented argument essay that takes a clear stand in its
conclusion on a controversial topic chosen from the list (or other approved topic). After an
introduction that eases the reader into the topic over approximately a full page, thoroughly present
one side of the argument for a number of paragraphs, citing sources along the way with
parenthetical MLA style citations. Repeat the same procedure for the viewpoint that represents the
opposing view. Again, that’s not merely a different view, it is a thorough examination of the
opposing side. Each of those two body sections should be equivalent or nearly so in length. Then in
a detailed conclusion section two or more pages in length, comparatively evaluate the evidence you
collected and clearly state what side (not both) of the argument you are on in your conclusion and
why. (Understand, we always have the right to change our mind given new information in the future;
this conclusion just shows where you are on the issue at the moment.)
When bringing sources of information into your essay, emphasize paraphrasing and
summarizing. Have no quotations or almost none. (It’s perfectly okay to have a few lines, but that’s
it!) Wikipedia and online dictionaries do not count as sources for this assignment.
Format: length = 8 to 12 double-spaced pages; font size 12; 1” margins; follow MLA 8th Edition
standards like having each section (the introduction, for example) named and numbered. We have
an MLA guide in our materials this week.
Use of Critical Thinking Terms: Use terms throughout like ethos, pathos and logos. Your mission is
not to “prove” anything. Instead, you are presenting and evaluating the best evidence you can find,
and drawing your own conclusions while using the critical thinking terms and concepts as found
throughout in Asking the Right Questions and other materials we have worked with including the
SDSU WPA-related assignments. Include an MLA style Works Cited page at the end. (The Works
Cited page does not count as one of the pages of the essay.) Also, cite sources with parenthetical
MLA in-text citations [example: (Spinoza 38).] as needed throughout the essay
our grade will be determined by the following:
• How thoroughly and balanced you researched and presented the opposing views;
• How well you applied critical thinking concepts from the textbook and other course materials;
• How well you explained your conclusion — why you took the side you chose; and
• Adherence to the conventions of college essays including organization, grammar, citation of sources and how thoroughly you met the essay requirements that are related in this document.

how to make the show more interactive (rather than just let the audiences sit and watch the show, what can they do to be more interactive)
My class is about consulting to business. The business that i’m consulting is New West Symphony. It is an esteemed performing arts organization that attracts diverse, capacity audiences to experience and celebrate the transformative power of live symphonic music in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
For this research paper, I want you to research the following:
– The interaction before their show (what can they do before the show in order to make it better or interesting)
– how to make the show more interactive (rather than just let the audiences sit and watch the show, what can they do to be more interactive)
– something to increase the interaction in the event, something that people might wanna take photo and post it on the internet etc (free marketing)
– intermission or half-time (any ideas ??)
– how will they make money and how they increase the customer base (most of the audiences are old people and they don’t reallymake money)
Types of Business Law: Part 2
As you will recall from Week 3, you are playing the role of
a junior legal assistant for the legal department of XYZ Corporation. The
organization has recently undertaken a number of efforts to increase its
presence in the local community and is promoting corporate social
responsibility and positive social change initiatives.
To support these positive social change initiatives and
efforts at ensuring compliance among XYZ Corporation’s employees, Kate
Braverman, Chief Counsel of the Legal Department, leads the company-wide
Business Law and Compliance Fair to showcase some upcoming policy changes and
hold Q&A sessions for all staff members.
Because you have been asked to assist with the Q&A, this
week, you will continue your work of gathering information to present to staff
members. This week, you will focus on contracts.
Part 2: Contract Research Report
Sue is a graphic designer at XYZ Corporation, and she also
runs her own business as a photographer. She says:
“Sorry, this is more personal, but I hope you can give me
some advice. I just entered a contract to photograph the full line of a pottery
company, a job that will involve nearly 1,000 photographs. The contract
promises excellent pay, with a specific dollar amount stated in the contract,
but unfortunately, I neglected to include any payment terms. Can you help
investigate this for me?”
Submit a Contract Research Report that addresses
the following prompt.
Kate
approves the request and asks you to help Sue. You will need to research
the dangers that Sue might face by not spelling out the terms of payment
within her contract. Provide her with a research report on these dangers
and recommendations for how to correct this situation, if it is possible.
(225–300 words, 3–4 paragraphs)
Note: Be sure to reference at least two
scholarly sources to support your work. Use the Week 4 Assignment Template,
provided in this week’s Learning Resources, to complete this Assignment.
Do you think you are a stereotypical man or woman? Why or why not?”
We tend to think that we, personally, don’t conform to rigid gender stereotypes. What about everyone else, though? For this reflection, you will ask five friends or family the simple questions: “Do you think you are a stereotypical man or woman? Why or why not?” Make note of your answers so that you keep up with who said what. When writing your paper, you don’t have to give names, but be sure to identify the respondents as male or female and give their age or an estimate. Report if you find any patterns in the responses by age and provide an explanation of how their responses are reflective of how we as a society socially construct gender and the expectations we have for men and women. (All papers should be at least 2 pages and properly documented)
