traditional essay.

Examine human resources across cultures in an organization

In the Case Assignment, you wrote a proposal on how you plan to
implement education and training within the organization to address
the opportunities and challenges associated with managing across
cultures. Your emphasis was on the host country of origin from the
host country’s perspective.
For the Signature assignment, you will build on your Week 4 case
assignment and add management across culture concepts/elements
from the United States perspective. For ex. Imagine you are working
in the U.S. Office and addressing cultural concepts and elements from
the United States perspective – for U.S. employees working with
foreign based employees in the U.S. location. Consider the module
when we discussed the language barrier in a presentation, which
made us aware that there was a need for education and training in the
host country. Now, that you have gathered information to educate and
train in the host country, complete the signature assignment by
improving the plan to incorporate training that addresses training U.S.
personnel. You may want to review terms discussed in TD1 of module
1, such as ethnocentrism, etc., to assist with completing the training
and education plan.
Please address the concepts learned and student-learning outcomes
in modules 1 – 8 (see table below). Your paper should be between 8 –
10 pages. Update your executive summary to include the new content
(still no more than 1 page). Your executive summary should include a
training plan that includes both the host country and the U.S.,
associated costs, and total human resources required. Again, address
the concepts learned and explain if they are applicable or not in the
organization. At the end of your paper, write four paragraphs about
what you learned about the organization as it pertained to the cross
cultural management in the host country and U.S., any preconceived
notions prior to research about the organization in the host country
relevant to the U.S., and your current perceptions about the
organization.

How does [Author, Article Title] engage the political, economic, cultural, or social aspects of the time/event in question? Moreover, how do they seek to contribute to/challenge traditional historical narratives?

The works of secondary article writers provide analytical depth to respective historical periods and events. The ideological, emotional, economic, political, ethical and social constructs that inform rhetorical writers offer insight into the varied lenses that create the “history” we learn from. Rhetorical writing presents arguments aimed at readers from varying walks of life, backgrounds, cognitive make-ups, and ideals using personal interpretation that seeks to convince audiences to consider a different viewpoint. Although articles may also be reflective of the places and times they were produced, many strive to found new narratives.

For this assignment, you will choose one of five articles already assigned in our course readings. Your choices are:
“Energy, Property, and the Industrial Revolution Narrative” by Stefania Barca

While considering the historical context that your article provides commentary on, I want you to write a paper that considers the following question:
How does [Author, Article Title] engage the political, economic, cultural, or social aspects of the time/event in question? Moreover, how do they seek to contribute to/challenge traditional historical narratives?
Helpful Steps:
*Identify the author’s goals within the document/work and be able to summarize his/her points.
*Look for the author’s ‘voice’ within the work and juxtapose it upon their stated goals or intentions.
*Finally, form your own analysis of the article to answer the thesis question.

Your essay must be thesis-driven. In other words, you will take a position regarding the source and its aims. The thesis must be clear, concise, and defensible while answering the above bolded question. Most theses appear near the beginning of papers (after the introduction) so that the writer can spend the body of his/her work evidencing his/her position. It should also be related back to at times and most certainly reiterated in the conclusion to cement the writer’s stance.

domestic violence recovery

I have had domestic violence charges along with addiction up until 5 years ago. I have my certification of the 30 hours required from the WSCADV (washington state coalition against domestic violence.) I have almost my aa degree in SUD and am trying to get my DV training and need a letter of acknowledgment to the state of Washington that will show my character of change. I need some expertise in writing that brings out ownership of reposibility towards my actions of the past and develope a new character that would influence the state to see my worth in my new life. I have included a couple of letters I have sent to the state before to receive my credentials to perform my internship with sud treatment. This letter needs to address the two cases separately. I am asking for an expert to help me sell myself. I had a past and have been building myself through the last 5 years with positive values and morals.

American Dream”

You will write a 1,500-2,000 word (6-8 pages, double spaced) essay on the following prompt, being sure to include all stated requirements (see below). References are in addition to this length requirement, so do not count the reference page toward the total.
If you have kept up with your work, and know where to find or review the information, this will take you considerably less time than if you have not.
Prompt
Define what the “American Dream” means to you. Use at least one source to explain how it has been discussed in American society.
Who has access to this dream (who is likely to attain it)? In your answer, DEFINE social class (think Hout…)
Based on what you have learned in this course so far, what would you do to improve the chances that more people could attain this American Dream, as you defined it? (Think in terms of policy changes, such as taxation or increased eligibility for social programs, etc.)
WHY do you think the measures you mentioned would help?
What theories (that we have discussed) align with your suggestion?
How accepted do you think this proposal would be? (What leads you to believe this?)
How would your proposal affect absolute and relative mobilities for people in this country? Be sure to DEFINE both absolute and relative mobilities separately.
What do you think the longterm effects on society would be if the “American Dream” was more accessible? (Wilkinson is good to consider here…)
Requirements
You must use the materials from the course to back up your answers. You may use outside sources as well. Tell my WHY through data.
You must cite at least 6 sources. At least 4 of these must be from this course. You may use 2 from outside sources, using your research skills to find reliable information. (Do not cite Wikipedia — though Wikipedia may be helpful to get you started on ideas).
You must always cite a source when you are referring to a specific fact, piece of data, crediting a theorist, paraphrasing someone, quoting someone, etc. As upper-level undergrads, this is an important practice. Please review citation guides and/or visit writing tutors if you are unsure.
You must use at least one mobility table to help support your answer and demonstrate you know how to read it by citing a minimum of 2 figures from the table. (For instance, read a few facts from the mobility tables to prove why you are proposing the solution you are, doing so in a way that demonstrates you know what numbers represents the parents’ generation in that table and what numbers represent the adult child’s, etc. )The Brookings article is one option and can be one of your required 6 sources.
You must incorporate the concepts of absolute and relative mobilities, using them in a way that lets me clearly see you understood the concepts and can relate it to your proposed solution.
You must demonstrate to me that you can read a mobility table. This can be incorporated into your reasoning
You must provide in-text citations and a reference page. I don’t care what style you use (APA, MLA, etc.) as long as it’s consistent. The reference page does NOT count toward your page requirements.
You must proofread your paper and ensure it meets collegiate writing standards. I highly encourage you to visit a writing tutor on campus.

Elasticity of Demand in the Market

Are you old enough to remember when you actually bought music? Not through a streaming subscription service and DEFINITELY not an actual physical cassette tape or CD (btw the first cassette tape I bought was Offspring’s Smash album. I bought it without my parents permission. Total rebel, I know). Anyways, your great-grandparents used to buy music in the form of MP3 files from iTunes. They would then download those files onto their iPods (What’s an iPod? Think non-touch screen iPhone with only one app (music player) and an actual headphone jack.) Anyways, Apple’s original pricing scheme was a single price system. Every song was 99 cents. Later, they developed a two-tiered pricing scheme. The article is attached.

Discuss how Apple used their knowledge of elasticities to increase revenue and whether or not they achieved their goals.
