STEP 1. Collect at least 5 sources (i.e., empirical research reports) that answer our research questions.
STEP 2. For each of the sources (i.e., references) you have collected, complete a summary that focuses on our research questions.
Each summary should include the following items:
1. Who are the participants of the study?
2. How was the evidence collected? (What are the data collection tools? What was the
procedure used?)
3. What are the answers to our research questions?
4. Summarize each article in one or two paragraphs using your own words without
copying and pasting the author’s words. Use APA style to cite each source.
STEP 3. Once you have completed each summary, develop a literature review. Your literature review combines the information collected from the 5 summaries into a coherent narrative that justifies our research questions. For instance, are the findings consistent even though the participants and/or procedures are different?
