1rst) Write me a professional email of 500+ words. For this assignment, I am your boss. Convince me your claim on your topic is worth our time and effort to continue exploring. The content of the email should be derived from the four areas detailed below. Please type the email in a document and submit to the assignment’s tab. Do not send your proposal as an actual email.
Four areas are required:
Identify a problem
Spend time unpacking the context of the issue.
Explain the research that you have conducted.
Discuss the types of sources that will be relevant to supporting your claim. Are they speaking to each other? How?
Formulate a claim
This should probably begin with I argue that… and include some ideas of what you’ve discovered so far in your research. A rough thesis. Where are you headed? If I were your boss, I would want to know that you had considered and are aware of multiple aspects of your issue but that our time and resources should be purposely focused. Tell me what you are focusing on with your argument.
Consider alternative ways to achieve the desired outcome and discuss why these may not be feasible.
Look at the variety of perspectives that should be taken into account for your topic. Include the individual or subgroup, and then justify why that perspective could be important to understanding your idea more comprehensively. Or, why is this group’s perspective not feasible? For example, with school uniforms, there are a number of groups affected: students, teachers, local businesses, and parents, just to name a few. You would explore how this topic affects them and their perspectives. You will want to include what sources you have found that they would use to justify their perspective. The hope here is to show how you would address opposition or different perspectives.

2nd) Purpose: This assignment is designed for you to develop an argument based on the information that you have researched about a specific topic or issue related to your chosen career field. You will need to synthesize sources that both support and contradict your position.
Assignment: Compose an argument of at least 2500 words that synthesizes the sources you have researched and offers up your own claim about the topic/issue.
● The Argument: The main writing project for English 102 is a carefully researched and documented argumentative research paper. This project is the culmination of the JJC composition sequence and should therefore rely on more sophisticated and complex modes of organization, structure, and argument. It is not possible to pass English 102 without writing the research paper, including the assigned steps.
Minimum requirements for the research paper are as follows:
● A minimum of 2500 words of text in the final draft, excluding prefatory pages and the Works Cited page.
● A minimum of 10 sources in the major essay’s Works Cited page. At least 5 of your sources must come from the databases.
● All sources on the Works Cited page must be used in the paper, and all documentation must follow correct MLA/APA format. Sources may be used and counted for quotations, paraphrases, and summarized ideas.
● The Construction: Your argument will follow the classical argument structure as it best fits:
* Introduction with a thesis
* Background information that states the issue being discussed
* Offer your point-of-view on the answer to the problem with support from sources.
* Acknowledge the opposing side using your ideas plus sources.
* Offer a rebuttal to the opposing side using your best argument strategies.
Length: Minimum 2500 words
Format/Medium/Layout: You will submit a formal college essay with MLA/APA headings, headers, title, font, format, and spacing, along with a Works Cited/References page.
Stance: You will demonstrate a well-supported argument in response to the topic/issue as it relates to your career field.
