BAROQUE and ENLIGHTENMENT art

PART ONE: Baroque Era Review essay, an expression in artistic-cultural identity. We have encountered five main parts/periods of the Baroque era: Italy / Spain / Northern Europe / England / France.
Start each part by assigning a descriptive that you feel best sums up its artistic/cultural identity. For example, Italy, you might say “The Dramatic tension of Menace, Murder, Mayhem” (Don’t use that), and then express why you see it that way, with at least one example of art in support.
The structure of this presentation should begin with opening paragraph to set the stage for this era. Then, Clearly identify each separate part by title, and then the descriptive (in italics) that you feel best fits it, and then elaborate on that particular character (identity), making use of particular example(s) of art & artifact to support. Use paragraph spacing to present each period with clarity and breathing room.

PART TWO: Enlightenment Era Review essay, an expression in artistic and philosophic identity.
REASON AND REVOLUTION: This title of our third segment is fairly dramatic and descriptive, which is what you will need to bring to this segment review project. You will use this title as your guide and central theme in expressing your understanding of this segment.
The style of Rococo, The Art of Enlightenment, Neo-Classical style, and the period of Romanticism. These are the portions of the era, and you will address each as you put the era overall in perspective.
The format and requirements: The structure of this presentation should begin with opening paragraph to set up the basics of your overall concept. Then, express what you can recall as essential material that defines each of the four main periods of this segment, mentioned above. Clearly identify the period, then define and describe the historical and artistic character of that period, making use of particular examples of art, artist, and relevant socio-philosophy to support your concept of essential material. Close with your favorite aspects of both the Baroque and Enlightenment eras.

Closing Consideration: Wrap up this assignment with a closing statement in which you briefly sum up the basic artistic and cultural differences between these two eras.
The length and breadth of this project is up to you, it does not need to be an epic event, but it needs to be thorough. Be definitive in clarifying the particular periods, associated years, artists and artifacts.
