The paper will have standard one-inch margins, 12-point font and double spaced lines. It must be a complete four page (4 page) essay of text plus a separate page at the end of Works Cited in MLA style, (you may have more than one page of Works Cited, if need be). Your essay must include the following:
· Strong thesis and opening paragraph with supporting points
· Developing body that expand your points
· Strong conclusion
· Proper MLA style notation
Resources:
· You must have a minimum of four (4) different sources in your research. If you can, try to get a print source (books, newspapers, magazines, pamphlets, etc.) though it’s understood that may be difficult. Ebooks, such as Kindle or iBooks will count as print sources. You must have an internet source such as web sites, emails, blog posts, YouTube video, tweets, online discussions, etc. Other resources you may use can include (but are not limited to):
· Interviews conducted in person, via telephone, or through email
· Photographs, paintings, other artwork
· Documentaries, television programs, videos, movies, radio and podcast shows
If you quote from a resource, limit yourself to two sentences maximum. Anything over two sentences in a quotation will be marked down. You are limited to a maximum of two sets of quotations total. You may not split your quotes; for example if you use only one sentence in one quote you may not use three sentences in the second quote. You do not have to use any quotes if you so desire. Paraphrasing is acceptable and expected throughout the paper. If something is in quotes, you must state who is being quoted and why they are being quoted (in other words, who is the person being quoted and why is the person important).
