Sources: You should research ten (10) respectable sources for your term paper. Sources
that are not considered usable include Wikipedia, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and other
desk references (electronic or hard copy).
• Citation Style: You may use any style of citation you are comfortable with within your term
paper (i.e. MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.). Your citations should be included after your
document with a heading of “Bibliography” or “References.” Do not use “Works Cited.”
Significant points will be deducted if a style of citation is not used or not included.
• Word minimum: Your term paper needs to convey critical thinking. Therefore, there is no
assigned minimum number of words. It is expected that you will write multiple pages to
demonstrate your ability to critically think. You may use this document to fulfill your
EWP requirement at EIU. Remember, you have to complete three (3) EWPs before
graduation.
• Format: Your term paper should be double spaced with 1-inch margins in 12 point Times
New Roman font. Only the title and your name under the title are needed. PDF or DOCX
