Through lectures, seminars and lab assignments students will learn skills such as quantitative research design and methods, data analysis, and computer applications in anthropological research.

This course is a common-sense approach to the use of quantitative data analysis in anthropology. Basic principles and procedures for conducting quantitative research are explored through lecture, seminar, and practical exercises. In the laboratory component, students will learn how to use computer programs to facilitate data analysis in their anthropological research.
