Big Data Algorithm Project Proposal

Goal: Conduct original research in the exciting area of big-data algorithms.
Find a topic / paper related to the class that you are excited about.
Read the paper (and related ones) to identify a question that is unsolved.
You may also choose to do a survey on algorithmic techniques in a particular sub-area of big-data algorithms.
Recent conference publications are a good place to start looking for an open problem.
Some Open Problems:
You can also find a list of open problems here: (https://sublinear.info/index.php?title=Open_Problems:By_Number). The list is old, so verify if a problem is still unsolved before choosing to work on it.
Some additional resources / surveys are available here: https://sublinear.info/index.php?title=Resources
