Write a two-page
paper on Blackness, Injustice, and
Resistance
v Paragraph 1: Discuss one important feature that
makes a person Black or of Africana heritage.
v Paragraph 2: Briefly describe one ongoing
injustice you have observed faced by Black/Africana persons
v Paragraph 3: Provide data from a respectable
source to document degree of the injustice.
Ø I will discuss in class how to find such
evidence and statistics. Also see documents on BB
v Paragraph 4: Identify and briefly describe the history
of this injustice. How long has it been going on?
Ø I need evidence from a documented and
reliable source.
v Paragraph 5: : Briefly describe how one organization
is fighting against this injustice.
v Paragraph 6: Describe how you can make a
difference in addressing this injustice. Be specific and be realistic.
v Each paragraph should have between
110-125 words. The
paragraph length must fall within this range. Edit, weep, edit
again. Make hard choices among competing ideas. It speaks to your brilliance

v The overall paper should be no longer
than 750 words, excluding
the title page and the reference page. It is ok if the content pages go
over to a third page, but the final word count for the content pages cannot be
more than 750 words.
v Each page should have a maximum of three
paragraphs. It might go over but that’s ok. Just adhere to the paragraph word
limit.
v Double space and 12-point font.
v CITATIONS + REFERENCES: Using APA
style be sure to cite your references in the text. See copy on BB and in your
folder.
v Send as an attached MS WORD document.
