breaking a social norm

For this
assignment, identify a social norm that you would like to disobey. Do not break any
governmental or institutional law or rules for this assignment, as social norms can aid in safety
for the community. I will not allow breaking the social norm of wearing a mask and social
distancing this semester, due to the safety concerns. Additionally, please refrain from engaging
in confrontation, since this exercise may illicit some strong responses from other individuals.
Some acceptable examples could include, but not limited to, eating soup with a fork, walking on
the left side of the sidewalk, or sitting on the floor instead of a chair. When picking a social norm
to break, cite at least one research article discussing the behavior you choose as a social norm.
To find research articles, you may use the MSU Library Databases or Google Scholar. You must
have a reference page at the end of your paper with the APA citation and have internal citations
throughout the paper.
