Briefly describe how you will contribute to the local and/or Laurier community as a student here

Please answer the question below:
Question: Laurier is known for being an
actively engaged community of students, staff and faculty who volunteer, participate,
and give back to their community, both on and off campus. Briefly describe how
you will contribute to the local and/or Laurier community as a student here.

Here are some contributions that I have done, please match these with some of Laurier’s goals.

Growing up I was always a part of the community and
found joy participating and contributing to my community
o I
grew up playing soccer at a local sports team, volunteering at temples and
being in school plays
–
In high school I followed the same path and began
by joining sports teams, other clubs (such as DECA, Model UN and other clubs
specialising in business, math, and science) and from there became an executive
member of 6 clubs throughout my 4 years of high school
–
For my 40 required community service hours I
exceeded those by gaining over 140 community service hours
–
Because I’ve been someone who’s so dedicated to
helping out the community, I know I’ll continue to do so for the local and Laurier
community as a Laurier student.

* By being a leader in various clubs and motivating
other students I can continue to do the same at Laurier with my various peers
–
How I can contribute to the Laurier community:
o Will
volunteer at the campus
o introduce
new clubs and initiatives
o being
an Indian-Canadian student can motivate other students and help share my experience
and meeting more diverse people
