5. Explain the relationship between the learning need and the selected CNO entry-to-
practice competencies (2019).
6. Formulate an overall SMART learning goal to meet the learning need.
7. Justify that the goal has met each of the five SMART criteria (specific, measurable,
attainable, relevant, or realistic, and timed).
8. Link your goal with the CNO Code of Conduct. What principles of the Code of Conduct
align with your goal and provide rationale. Choose one of the group of principles 1 to 6
in the CNO Code of Conduct Guideline (2019).

9. Use literature and other ways of knowing to identify three specific, realistic, evidenced
based and consequential learning activities to address the learning goal. Include
deadlines for each learning activity.

11. Submit a summary of the learning plan using the format in appendix A and include it as
an Appendix in your paper.
12. Summarize key insights and learning points identified through self-reflection, scholarly
