Briefly explain an application you argue should use either secret key or public key cryptography.

For Secret and Public Keys:
1) There are several aspects of secret and public keys that make one or the other better for particular applications.
Note that the processing for secret key operations are typically simpler than the mathematics of public key cryptography, but the larger that our *cryptonet* is, the more members there are to potentially leak the single secret key all of us share.
In the module you find that public key cryptography allows one user to openly share a key to encrypt data for them alone, but unique threats appear as we try to create a public repository everyone can trust to securely hold the public keys for the users they want to contact. There are also the mathematical weaknesses of public key methods.
Find and briefly explain an application you argue should use either secret key or public key cryptography. For example, should a family sharing a garage passcode go to the trouble of using public key crypto?

2) In your own experiences with protecting sensitive data, would encrypting individual files or encrypting an entire volume be more effective?
For example, me sending sensitive emails for business reasons probably calls for one of these, and me traveling to a relatively unsafe place with a laptop calls for the other. Can you guess which?
