Briefly explain why the technique was developed in general and how it applies to your project.
Methods and Materials: Address how you analyzed the data
– Describe the data: how it was collected, what variables were measured, any special characteristics in the data. Do not spend too much space in the article describing the data.
– Describe the advanced statistical technique: key concepts, equations, notation, assumptions, assessment, etc.. You need to provide enough background about the method that your reader can understand all of your results.
– Discuss how your statistical methods address the research question/goal.
Results: Address what you found
– Present the analysis results and explain the meaning of results.
– Make sure that the tables and graphs are relevant, referenced and easy-to-understand. Provide context for them and interpret them in the report.
– Do not include raw R output and R code in your article. They should be placed in the Appendix.
Discussion: Address what the results mean
– Address the research questions/goals using your results
– Discuss the limitation of the data analysis /statistical method
