Part 1 will be worth 100 points. You will notice in the sample assignment that sometimes a phonetic transcription of the child’s production is followed by the target word in quotation marks (e.g., /bideo/ “video.”). You do not need to know the International Phonetic Alphabet for this, but please do your best to document how the child produced the word so that you can discuss their phonological development. It is also important to include the target word in your transcript to support your analysis of their lexical development and discussion of overall expressive language.
Parts 2, 3, 4, and 5 will be worth 50 points each. Please label each part clearly and be as specific and detailed as possible to demonstrate your knowledge of course concepts and draw connections to the textbook content.
