Explain how Walmart’s leadership skills and practices may lead to organizational success.

In the first half of the assignment, you will prepare for Walmart to operate in a foreign market. You will need to do the following:

Walmart Analysis for Leadership

Analyze at least two leadership models and/or styles to determine which one will be more suitable for leading employees and for responding to stakeholders in a country outside of North America.
Determine the leadership competencies that would be beneficial to you as a leader in the selected foreign market. You will choose Peru, New Zealand, Philippines, Egypt, Czech Republic, or the United Arab Emirates for your analysis. Compare and contrast concepts of cultural leadership according to how they can be applied in the country that you have selected.

Determine the leadership skills and practices that should be used to foster team and organizational success.
In the second half of the assignment, you will conduct an analysis of the country where you have decided to expand operations. The analysis must include:

The rationale for country selection based on demographic and economic data. The analysis should inform leadership about the country’s culture based upon GLOBE’s nine dimensions of culture as argued in Lumen (n.d.). Incorporate each of the nine dimensions of culture in an analysis that will be hypothetically presented to Walmart leadership. When using the nine dimensions, current information about the culture of the selected country must be used.

The purpose of this preliminary analysis is to make sure that the leadership team understands the complexities of expanding into the country that you have selected.

In your paper,

Analyze the demographic and economic data of a country where Walmart is currently not operating
Conduct an analysis for Walmart leadership about the country’s culture based on the GLOBE’s nine dimensions of culture.
Explain how Walmart’s leadership skills and practices may lead to organizational success.
Formulate a model of cultural and ethical leadership as it applies to Walmart at a global level.

Part A Questions:

In this task, you will choose one case study from the attached “Case Studies” document. You will analyze the case study using the tool from Section 2 (systems archetypes tool) to draw conclusions about a system’s relationships, connections, properties, and subsystems. Choose one of the systems archetypes to help you understand the problems in the case study. You will submit a completed systems archetypes tool and a completed analysis that includes the problems in the case as understood through relationships, connections, properties, and subsystems. It will be important to address any changes that occur throughout the case, as shown by the selection of a particular systems archetype.
Note: You must use a systems archetypes tool.

Requirements:

Your submission must be your original work. No more than a combined total of 30% of the submission and no more than a 10% match to any one individual source can be directly quoted or closely paraphrased from sources, even if cited correctly. The similarity report that is provided when you submit your task can be used as a guide.
You must use the rubric to direct the creation of your submission because it provides detailed criteria that will be used to evaluate your work. Each requirement below may be evaluated by more than one rubric aspect. The rubric aspect titles may contain hyperlinks to relevant portions of the course.

Tasks may not be submitted as cloud links, such as links to Google Docs, Google Slides, OneDrive, etc., unless specified in the task requirements. All other submissions must be file types that are uploaded and submitted as attachments (e.g., .docx, .pdf, .ppt).

Assignment 2

Music Important To You
Write a little bit about music (an artist, album, or song) that you find especially interesting or has personal importance to you. Try to use some of the terminology from this week to describe what you hear that is interesting (timbre, groove, harmony, etc.). If discussing lyrics, think about how they reflect that tie period/year, etc (don’t give a summary of the lyrics). Provide a link or embed the video into your response.

Example 1 Alex
One of my favorite songs is called People Everywhere Still Alive by a band called Khruangbin they are a three-person band (Electric, Base, Drums) the way would describe their music is worldly. This song in particular has few lyrics and mainly the lead guitar player Mark Speer creates a melody that changes throughout the whole song, almost as if his melodies were lyrics themselves telling a story. Watching the way he plays this song so casually is very hypnotizing People Everywhere Still Alive

Example 2 Israel

One of my favorite bands is Arcade Fire,  love Pink Floyd too but  don’t think I know enough to put into words why they’re so great. Arcade Fire’s first album Funeral, is my favorite of theirs even after listening to their entire discography. One of my favorite songs of theirs is the first song from Funeral, Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)Links to an external site.. Lots of firsts so far.
The first thing that stuck out to me when  had first listened to the song was it’s use of changing melodies, the main melody that we hear on the beginning of the song shifts and morphs throughout. Starting at it’s probably simplest form with what sounds like a piano and a distorted electric guitar, then separating both instruments to play the melody again alone, then changing entire into a sung version of the melody in the last third of the song. Then to end back with the guitar more in focus with remnants of the piano continuing.

Personally speaking, the way to song musically progresses creates this sort of feeling of almost realization? It’s not simply just adding or taking away instruments, it feels a lot more purposeful in how it was constructed. Starting off with a feeling, then ending on a similar but changed one. think it feels nostalgic, despite not having even become a fan of the band up until a few years ago.

Explain a short demo video or mock-up to show the app’s user interface, emphasizing simplicity and ease of use.

Look at the presentation that is uploaded below for further clarification on what the extension isThis could be a 30 second animation showing how Yasmin would navigate the app.

Our idea is to expand NOON and add a new feature that involves booking hotels, cars, restruants and events. The expansion is called “Noon Travel”.  want to create a video showing how someone could use the new extension that is in Noon to book all of these stuff in a fast efficient way.

Business memo on a user experience of an app-Analyze the USER EXPERIENCE of this activity. What was it like to engage in this activity. For example, if you worked for this company and the CEO or COO asked you for your expert advice on how users are experiencing this product

You will write a memo using proper memo writing format (see instructions in the How To section of this class)

Each week engage in a digital experience of your choice (do something online, ideally that you have not done before, but you may also want to choose some activities that are familiar to you).

These activities can include any digital or social media experience where you are a user of the site, app, game, etc. So, play a game, create a profile and use a social network, download an app, try a digital tool, etc.

Analyze the USER EXPERIENCE of this activity. What was it like to engage in this activity. For example, if you worked for this company and the CEO or COO asked you for your expert advice on how users are experiencing this product (and maybe how you should change it), what memo would you write to provide this kind of analysis, opinion, and advice.

Write a memo with PROPER FORMATTING (and a truly info rich main heading/subject line)
Choose at least THREE (3) things to discuss in your memo. Each of these should be discussed with its own HEADING and information under that heading.

Why did you choose this topic? ¿Por qué escogiste este tema?

Two (2) essays will be assigned in this course. The first one will be due at the end of Lección 1 and the last one with Lección 4. Each essay will relate to the concepts we will be studying and the country or countries introduced in the course.

The essays will be at least one page long, double-spaced with regular margins, with a 12-point font, in English. The essays are 5% of your grade.
Quality of title is important. For example, for an essay on Spain, if your title is “Spain”, it is not very original.

Choose a topic that interests you about the country in the lesson we are covering, e.g. politics, history, geography, or tourism, etc., but only one, as an example, in the essay on Spain, you could talk about “El Flamenco”, a traditional dance and music from Spain.

These are the subjects or countries that we will cover in this course: Hispanic immigrants to the US and/or Canada (Lección 1), Spain (Lección 2), Ecuador (Lección 3), Mexico (Lección 4) and Puerto Rico (Lección 5). Do not to use Wikipedia and do not talk about many different subjects. Develop your idea in at least three, well-developed, academically sound paragraphs. In the first paragraph, you could answer: Why did you choose this topic? ¿Por qué escogiste este tema?
