Next, read Vanessa Loder’s article, How Great Leaders Motivate their teams. What do you think about the author’s argument that it is human nature to need to believe in something? Both Pink and Loder seem to be arguing that intrinsic factors are essential to motivating performance. To what extent do you agree? How would you relate this to the motivational theories we read about in these chapters?
