Please find two URL’s (articles or sites) that deal with Art, Architecture and Music of the Renaissance and Baroque. You may include the Classic Period if you like (1750 – 1820). A free enterprise system provides individuals the opportunity to make their own economic decisions, without restrictions from the government. It allows the supply and demand of consumers to determine the success or failure of an economic endeavor. As a result, some business owners have become successful, while others have not.
In an essay, you will choose an entrepreneur and argue whether the free enterprise system was necessary for that individual to make an impact on the business world.

The paper must be 5 pages not including the cover page and the cites page. It must compare the two states political makeup, variations in voting (comparing laws related to voting). The works cited page MUST BE in MLA. The paper MUST be: 1. Times New Roman, 12-point font, all lines must be double spaced and include 1 inch margins on all sides.

An introductory paragraph: What is the state chosen to compare with Texas and why it was chosen (I chose South Carolina) because of the political makeup of the states and the way they have changed over time. 2. MUST name 3 issues currently facing South Carolina and how its Governor and legislators are addressing them. 3. How South Carolina legislature compares to that of Texas. It MUST also include information about the governor. 4. MUST provide a summary of the political party makeup in South Carolina. Is it more Republican, Democratic, or a combination of the two WITH an explanation. 5. MUST provide a summary of voter eligibility requirements for South Carolina. MUST include how voter turnout in South Carolina and Texas compare WITH EXPLANATION. 6. Are there changes Texas policymakers should implement from South Carolina (There are NOT). Conversely, are there ideas South Carolina should adopt from Texas (there ARE)? WITH EXPLANATION. 7. A conclusion paragraph.

The paper MUST be in Microsoft Word with no barriers to alteration. There can be no Plagiarism. There can be no elusion to Plagiarism. It will have to be submitted with “Turn It In” and 2 other locations to check for Plagiarism.

This assignment is to read Nicomachean Ethics I.4-7, (pages 3-12 that are attached) and answer questions with a strong focus on explaining why it matters or is significant to us. In other words, every question is actually asking “What is Aristotle trying to tell us?”

You should view these questions not as questions being asked by an instructor who already has the “correct” answer in mind but rather as questions being asked by someone who has read the texts and is still trying to figure out what is being said and WHY IT MATTERS—this means, for instance, that it will generally not be helpful to simply say in response to the question something on the order of what was literally said in the text since the person raising the question will have already encountered that and yet the question remains.

In one way or another then every question (REGARDLESS of how it is phrased) is attempting to get you to provide the questioner with some assistance in figuring out what is being said at that point, how it relates to other things in the text, WHY ANY OF IT IS SIGNIFICANT TO US, what it really means, etc. Put another way, and perhaps more simply, you should view each question as my attempt to ask you for your views concerning what so-and-so (the author, character, etc.) is really trying to tell us. THINK: “WHY DOES THIS MATTER TO US?” NOT “why does this matter to the story.” The point of asking what the author is trying to communicate is meant to highlight the presumption that the author is trying to say something that he deems to be significant.

It will not be satisfactory if you simply state our view. Rather, you should be prepared to say WHY you think that is what is being said or WHY we think its significance is thus and such. Absent any capacity on our part to say why we think that is the right thing to say about the text our conversation cannot progress beyond the mere stating of our opinions. Consequently, you should explain why you think your view of the text is justified.

1. Download and save 2 datasets in MS Excel format from the Department of Statistics, Singapore website, SingStat Table Builder. The data may be on the Singapore’s economy, industry, trade & investment, population, households or society. The datasets downloaded do not need to be complicated. You may want to select datasets that is of interest to you and/or your work and ensure that the datasets are sufficient for you to perform descriptive statistics, uncover and compare interesting trends among groups (e.g. people-groups, age-groups, industry-groups) and/or across time (e.g. in the 1980s vis-à-vis 2010s).

2. Seek and obtain approval from your module tutor for the 2 datasetsdownloaded.

3. Perform descriptive statistics on real-life data using MS Excel Data Analysis Tool Pak. Refer to the detailed illustration and instructions on how to perform descriptive statistics using MS Excel Data Analysis Tool Pak from the video lectures taught in class and in Polymall. Save the output of the descriptive statistics on the same worksheet as your raw data.

4. Analyse the 2 datasets using the descriptive statistics generated (central tendency, dispersion and skewness) to uncover and compare interesting trends among groups (e.g. of people, age-groups, industry-groups) and/or across time for a single group (e.g. in the 1980s vis-à-vis 2010s).

5. Note that 2 datasets mean 2 different variables. For example, age and income are 2 variables. However, age of males and age of females will be considered 1 variable. Thus, you would need to select data on 2 different variables for this assignment.

6. Prepare a written report on your analysis and findings.
