Progressive discipline policy

Progressive Discipline Policy
You are the manager of a rural, for-profit EMS agency, and the agency in the adjoining county just got hit with a lawsuit alleging unlawful termination. As such, the director of your agency has asked you to come up with a progressive discipline policy for use in your organization. Follow the guidelines below in creating your policy:
If you currently work for an agency, do NOT use your organization’s existing progressive discipline policy, if there is one. This policy should be new, original work.
Write a one-paragraph introduction that highlights the major points in the policy, and state why you chose certain aspects. For instance, decide if the agency is located in an at-will employment state, and describe what components are necessary in your introduction. Also, if the agency is unionized, describe union regulations that must be adhered to in the policy. Create a fictional city name, agency name, and name for the agency director, and include these in your introduction paragraph.
Include all steps in the policy—from the initial warning to the final step of termination—along with any timelines or signature spaces for each step.
Distinguish among normal error, at risk, and reckless behaviors. Provide information about what actions may constitute skipping steps in the plan to allow for immediate termination.
Your policy must be at least two pages in length and include at least two outside sources, one of which may be your textbook. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. APA formatting, however, is not necessary.

REFLECTIVE WRITING SELF-DISCLOSURE

What is your experience with self disclosure?
After studying Lessons 4.1 and 4.2, spend time completing the following reflective writing assignment. Use these questions as a jumping off point for your thoughts on disclosing your “self” to others.
Choose two of the three to write on:
Have you ever said too much on a first date? At a job interview? To a professor, family member, or friend? Have you ever posted something on Facebook only to return later to remove it? If you answered yes to any of the questions, describe the experience, then explain what you learned in this chapter that might now lead you to do something different.
Have you experienced negative results due to self-disclosure? If so, what could have been altered in the decisions of what, where, when, or how to disclose that may have improved the situation?
Under what circumstances is it OK to share information that someone has disclosed to you? Under what circumstances is it not OK to share the information? Why? Why not?
Remember, reflective writing enables you to explore and think deeply about what you are learning. You’ll want to refer back to portions of the text which have influenced you, but you do not simply want to restate what the text (or videos) have said. You are attempting to dig deeper…. to wonder…. and to reflect on what you have realized about self-disclosure. Develop (at minimum) 15 to 20 sentences per prompt.
Ultimately, you want to make this assignment your own. Make your exploration substantial. Self-disclosure is in many ways the essence of interpersonal communication. Spend some time with this.
