Directions
For your first assignment, you will be reflecting on your values and beliefs. However, this is not a narrative (I think, I feel, etc.). You will be reacting to text and how that informs your view of the world. We will use standard English as well as proper methods of citation in MLA format in your response.

Research and identify an environmental or occupational toxicant that effects either the respiratory, immune, or hepatic system. Research and discuss the following:
Explain the normal function of the system and what makes it susceptible to toxicity.
Describe how exposure to the toxicant is possible.
Analyze the acute and/or chronic effects of the toxicant.
Describe recent concerns about the toxicant (within the last two years) and any actions taken to reduce the toxicant in the environment or reduce occupational exposure to the toxicant.

Functional interpersonal communications are important to have between
groups. It involves messages between two or more people. It also
provides a healthy way to communicate with each other. Functional
interpersonal communications allow work to be done on time without any
issues.
Dysfunctional interpersonal communications can affect everyone
around. It is a miscommunication between groups and may put a strain in
getting a project or work done. Some example of dysfunctional
interpersonal communications are lack of feedback and updates from the
upper management positions.

The difference between functional and dysfunctional communications is
that functional conflict provides constructive criticisms. A
resolve/change is a result of a functional conflict. Whereas
dysfunctional communications are “unhealthy disagreements” amongst group
members (Lombardo). Poor communication can lead conflicts to further
disarray so it’s important that individuals or group members resolve any
conflict effectively as it puts the entire team at risk of making
mistakes and more importantly, can put the patient at risk.

The topic for the informative essay is “The Constitutionality of Marriage Equality.” Briefly trace the evolution of the constitutionality of same-sex marriage as a fundamental right in the United States. Your essay should include a review of state ballot initiatives and federal and state laws pertaining to marriage equality. Also, examine relevant state and federal law suits and court decisions as well as the constitutional basis for the rulings.
