Interview Qualitative Analysis

SOC Marriage

Students will evaluate and analyze the interview data collected in week 4 from a sociological perspective. Readings have been made available on qualitative interview analysis. Please read this material if you have not taken a course in research methods. Students must evaluate the relationship dynamics as well as specific problems/issues that the couple or family interviewed in week 4 have faced or are currently facing. Since each interview is different, the types of sociological concepts that are applicable will also be different. Recall that concepts are the bolded black terms in your textbook that have clear definitions. Select the concepts or theories that best speak to the sociological themes and patterns found in your qualitative interview data. While writing the essay, be sure to BOLD the concepts that are introduced and make sure each term is properly defined and/or explained before applying it to examples.

Students must also utilize the textbook and 3-4 additional peer reviewed journal articles (use Annie Gabriel Library) to address these relationship dynamics and issues from a sociological perspective and how these sociological concepts or theories can be applied to couples and/or families more broadly in society. Finally, students should incorporate the Christian worldview by incorporating the Biblical perspective by way of solutions and/or guidance. Papers must be at least 5-7 pages (not including title and reference pages) and in APA format.

1(A) Introduction to Problem
Use the Capstone Template and write the Lit Review in the correct format template attached in the Introduction Module and again here. (CapstoneTemplate.doc). PLEASE use the template!!! It contains APA format and headings which organize the papers in a consistent format and make it easier to find the next section to grade. You will be writing this paper in sections, adding more paragraphs in every module and receiving feedback as you go along.
Select a problem you are interested in studying that has applications relevant to evidence-based nursing practice (for most of you, it will be the same one you wrote about in Discussion Forum). Start with a general or broad statement or question, then become more specific. Include at least two statistics about the nursing problem or issue and cite the sources in APA format (Author, Year).
In a new paragraph, describe briefly a new approach to the problem, possible solution, or a bundle of interventions that is being used or proposed. Define terms if necessary. Cite at least one source for the intervention you want to research.
Start a new paragraph and clearly state the purpose of your paper. Examples: The purpose of this paper is to review the literature on . and to determine the best practices for .. OR The focus of this paper is to search for the best evidence related to Explain why you chose this problem and how it is important to nursing.
Avoid using personal pronouns (I, me, my) in a professional paper like this. Use passive tense and generalizations like “This topic was chosen because nurses play an important role in preventing “. OR “This is an important topic to research because some nurses have seen.”
Start reference list alphabetically in APA format. All citations in text should be in reference list and all items in reference list should be cited somewhere in the paper (including secondary sources). All citations in text should be in (Author, Year) format, per APA manual. Do NOT put the full article title or journal name in the sentences or paragraphs.
APA format for this paper: Use the provided template. You may change name of headings to fit your paper, but keep the format of headings (centered, left flush, and indented subheadings). Start typing each paragraph indented 5 spaces. Every line is double spaced, including block quotes and reference list. Do NOT add extra spaces before headings or between paragraphs. Use this template or make sure word processing software so that line spacing is 2 lines (Word default is 1/1/2) and edit the page layout so that 0 spaces are placed before and after paragraphs (Word default adds spacing). Keep at least one inch margins.
PICOT, Search Strategy, and Articles (major heading left flush)
In the paper, state the PICOT Question which you will be using to guide your literature search, in this format (including the initials and parentheses (P) (I) (C) (O) (T) after each segment): In ___________ (P), how does ____________ (I) compared to __________(C) affect ___________ (O) within ______________ (T)?
Search one or more professional databases from FSCJ Library and Learning Commons to find two nursing research articles, using some of the terms from your PICOT question.
Select the two best articles, download the PDF files, and attach the files of both articles to this assignment in Blackboard (do not insert the files into your paper).
In the paper: describe your search strategy. Include which databases you searched, what key words were used, and what limiters were added. State the approximate number of articles that came up on the first search and how you adjusted it down to find the most relevant and highest level of evidence available for your topic. Cite the two articles you selected in (Author, Year) format and add them to the reference list if not there already. Do NOT list the title of articles or journals. Do NOT describe them in this section because you will be critiquing them in detail in following sections (after instructor approves the articles).
Include in your paper the paragraph and bulleted list of levels of evidence (LOE) scale you will be using to critique the studies (located below and in the template). Copy and paste it from this document or the template. Be sure you include the source at the end of the block quote.
1(B) Directions: Continue writing your paper using the file you submitted as Lit Review 1A. Revise the previously-submitted sections based on your instructor’s feedback. Then add the following:
Select the nursing research article with the highest level of evidence and critique it by answering questions in the appropriate “Rapid Critical Appraisal Checklists” in Appendix B of Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt (2019, pp. 708-722). If needed, consult with instructor about the correct LOE and checklist before you write your critique.
In the paper, write a concise summary of the most pertinent details about the article, organizing it with subheadings of Validity, Results, Applicability, Strengths, and Weaknesses. Include the type of study, purpose, methods and instruments, sample size and characteristics, results with statistical significance (if provided), key findings relevant to your PICOT, and your critique of its applicability, strengths, and weaknesses.
Make sure article is in reference list. Cite sources in the paper using APA style with authors’ last names and year (in the first sentence and when needed). Do not type the complete title of article or journal in your paragraph because it is in the reference list.
1(C) Directions: Continue writing your paper using the file you submitted as Lit Review 1B. Revise the previously-submitted sections based on your instructor’s feedback. Choose either the guidelines you described in the Discussion Forum of this module or the second research article that you located in the previous module. Discuss it with your instructor if you are not sure which is the best one or if you found a new article that you think fits your topic better.
If you are using guidelines:
Start a new section for Guideline Critique and Recommendations. Use the template and APA 7th edition guidelines (Credibility, Applicability, Recommendations).
Cite the source in APA 7th edition format within the first sentence in (Author, Year) format.
Critique the credibility and applicability of the guidelines (using the Rapid Critical Appraisal Checklist from Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt, 2019, p. 722).
Summarize the major recommendations for nursing practice from the guidelines (use a bulleted list if more than three).
Correct or update reference list and previous sections as needed.
Submit the PDF file of the Guidelines in Blackboard along with your paper (if not previously sent to instructor). The file is preferred, but if not available, then include the complete URL in the reference (double check that the link takes you directly to the document).
If you are using a second research article or systematic review in place of guidelines:
Start a new section for Article 2. Use the flush left bold and indented bold sub headings provided in the template (Validity, Results, Applicability, Strengths, and Weaknesses). Select the appropriate Rapid Critical Appraisal Checklist from Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt (2019, Appendix B)
Cite the source in APA format within the first sentence in (Author, Year) format.
In the paper, write a concise summary of the most pertinent details about the article. Include the type of study, purpose, methods and instruments, sample size and characteristics, results with statistical significance (if provided), key findings relevant to your PICOT, and your critique of its applicability, strengths, and weaknesses.
Correct or update reference list and previous sections as needed.
Submit the PDF file of the Guidelines in Blackboard along with your paper (if not previously sent to instructor).
1(D) Directions: In this assignment, you will revise your Literature Review based on earlier feedback and add your conclusions for the best nursing practices from all the articles you’ve reviewed.
Attention: Papers that do not meet the standard of writing at the Bachelor’s level (i.e. correct grammar, spelling, sentence and paragraph structure, APA format) or that do not show revisions for previous sections based on instructor feedback, will be returned ungraded for a redo, which may result in an Incomplete grade for the course. If there are multiple errors, you will get it back to do it over again! Think about this: if you don’t have time to do it right the first time, when will you have time to do it over?
Go back to the beginning of your paper and read it as if this is the first time you read it. You may find it helpful to print it out so you can see the entire paper and compare sections. Does each paragraph have a “theme” and do the thoughts flow from one paragraph to the next without unnecessary duplication? Are the headings consistent with the template and is the right content under each heading and subheading? Look for clarity. Are the results from each article clearly explained under the subheading for Results (or under Recommendations if guidelines used)?
Double check that you have included all the items in the directions for each section and revised the previously-submitted sections based on your instructor’s feedback posted in Canvas Grade Center or emailed to you. If you did this every time you added a new section, then this step will be a breeze.
Proofread the entire paper to make sure it has good sentence structure with appropriate commas, and all grammatical or spelling errors are corrected. Use the word processing software to help you with grammar and spelling (in Word it is under the tab “Review”). Was APA format followed for numbers less than 10? Did you avoid using personal pronouns (I me my)? It may help you to read it out loud or seek the help of an English tutor.
Make sure your references are cited correctly (first and subsequent times). The APA Manual and the handouts provided for 7th edition has a handy chart for how many authors to list. Make sure that all sources cited in the text are included in the reference list. It will help if you print out your paper and check off each source when you verify it is cited correctly in the paper and listed in the references. Verify that references are listed correctly in APA format.
Now you are ready to add the new and final section. Conclusions from lit review should answer “What are the best practices or nursing interventions on your topic?” Were you able to answer your PICOT question? If yes, explain what you found. If not, explain what you were not able to find and what you did find that related to the topic. This should mostly be in your own words, but cite each source at least once to show where your conclusions came from. Did you find similar or different results from each source? If results are consistent, then you can cite more than one source after that conclusion. For example: Nurse-led protocols are more effective in reducing.. (Jones, 2015; Smith, 2014). Paraphrase here; don’t copy/paste!
You will find it helpful to go back to your paper and underline or highlight the key findings from each article (that you wrote under the subheadings for Results and Guideline Recommendations). You may also find it helpful to talk to someone else about what you found in the articles (or audio tape yourself). When you summarize it out loud, you will find that forming the conclusions in your own words is easier.
Create a bulleted list of your conclusions of the best evidence for nursing practice from all the articles you reviewed, including guideline recommendations. Try to start the bulleted items in a consistent format (such as with a verb like assess, monitor, educate….). Remember: Research doesn’t prove anything; it only provides evidence to support or reject a hypotheses (so don’t use the word prove).
Part 2 will be discussed once this part is finished.

Articles and layouts are attached.

ESSAY 1 INSTRUCTIONS
Read the article Shiny, Happy People? by Yuval Noah Harari, the author of Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind. In this article, Harari makes an argument about happiness in human history.

Once you have read the article and identified his main argument, it’s time for you to start analyzing his argument. Though Harari’s article covers all of human history, your essay will be limited to the time periods covered in Chapters 1, 2, and 3 (it’s fine to refer to the present day in your introduction and conclusion but your thesis must focus on the Module 1 time period). You can mention other hominids besides Homo sapiens but your thesis should focus on Homo sapiens. Your essay should address this question:

From the beginning of human society (hunter-gatherers) through the agricultural revolution and the rise of the first civilizations, did the quality of life get better or worse for humanity?

To answer this question, you must cite specific information from the textbook and “Shiny, Happy People?” There is no right or wrong answer to this question. The key is to make a clear argument and support your argument with evidence from the textbook and article. Remember that this is your chance to show me what you have learned, so do not skimp on examples from the textbook.

Can you help me to review this paper and help me to fix for the grammar, spelling and organise etc…. Some sentence if you think is too much or can be shorter you can help me to fix it as well. Also, you can add some sentences if you think that is better or if you needed.

medical barriers

Women’s involvement in physical activity and sports was often limited due to medical rhetoric that associated women’s reproductive systems with weakness and fragility. What are some examples of this found in this week’s lecture and reading. What impact does this history of medical/reproductive barriers still have on girls and women today? These early held beliefs about human reproduction still influences our language today – “that person has balls” versus “that person is a pussy” has opposite meanings where the male reproductive system is associated with strength while the female reproductive system is associated with weakness. Are there other examples of how this thinking impacts our lives perhaps without us realizing it until now?
