Create an original code of ethics and business conduct for a new business venture based upon key ethical principles and professional issues. Include industry considerations that may impact the new venture operations.
This assessment examines entrepreneurial leadership characteristics and the ethical aspects of entrepreneurship; it also explores building the right team for your new venture. You will create an original code of ethics and business conduct for the new venture you plan to start and operate. This code of ethics and business conduct will include the ethical principles and professional issues for your leadership approach to embody and support and for all your employees to emulate and follow.
Creativity and innovation are essential leadership characteristics for an entrepreneur. Creativity is the ability to develop new ideas and new ways of solving problems. Innovation is the ability to apply creative solutions to problems and opportunities. As management legend Peter Drucker once said “Innovation is the specific instrument of entrepreneurs, the act that endows resources with a new capacity to create wealth.” Scarborough & Cornwall, 2019, ThinkExist.com, n.d.). Creative thinking provides the foundation for new ideas that lead to innovation and new ways of doing things.
With creativity and innovation comes ethical and moral responsibilities for the entrepreneur. Establishing and maintaining ethical standards is essential for creating a healthy and ethical organizational culture that guides management and employees’ behavior and determines how your new venture conducts its business and daily operations. These behaviors have an impact on how your new venture views its social, environmental, employee, and customer responsibilities, and will influence the choices you make as you build the right the team for your new venture.

Explain the area of law (and related ethical considerations) you are discussing and how they impact the organization. The
primary purpose of the paper is for you to learn in more detail about at least
one substantive area of law and how the organization complies with the law and/or
handles legal risk. Your paper should generally include the following
(generally a good paper structure; yet, not necessarily in this order):
1. Describe the
organization, including a summary of its history and nature of operations.
3. Explain the area of
law (and related ethical considerations) you are discussing and how
they impact the
organization. You may need to do additional reading.
4. Discuss the
particulars of your legal (and ethical) area(s) of focus. For example, if your
area of focus concerns
contracts, explain the contracts used in the organization, how they
are developed, revised,
executed, and approved for compliance purposes, etc. Please
also consider if and how
the organization determines they are right (i.e., in terms,
provisions, formation,
interpretation, enforcement, etc.)?
5. Illustrate your
discussion with examples of legal and ethical compliance or challenges
faced by the organization
in this area. For example, do their contracts have dispute
resolution clauses and
how have they been applied?
6. Give your analysis and
opinion about how this organization has addressed its legal (and
ethical) risks in this
area, what they are doing well or poorly, what risks they still face
and what you might
recommend, etc.
7. In your investigation,
share what you learned about the law (and ethics) in business and
relate your paper to
applicable topics covered in class.
Discuss which exposure might be viewed as the most important to manage.
It is generally not possible to completely eliminate both translation exposure and transaction exposure. In some cases, the elimination of one exposure will also eliminate the other. But in other cases, the elimination of one exposure actually creates the other. Discuss which exposure might be viewed as the most important to manage. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the common methods for controlling translation exposure?
Explain what tools were used to document, record, store, and share the data.
