What is the SqFt area of the outlier(s)? Is the outlier(s) smaller or larger than the average restaurant in the database? What can you conclude from this observation?

assignment.
In preparation for writing your report to senior management
next week, conduct the following descriptive statistics analyses with
Excel. Answer the questions below in your Excel sheet or in a separate Word
document:
Insert
a new column in the database that corresponds to Annual Sales. Annual
Sales is the result of multiplying a restaurants SqFt. by
Sales/SqFt.
Calculate
the mean, standard deviation, skew, 5-number summary, and interquartile
range (IQR) for each of the variables.
Create
a box-plot for the Annual Sales variable. Does it look symmetric? Would
you prefer the IQR instead of the standard deviation to describe this
variables dispersion? Why?
Create
a histogram for the Sales/SqFt variable. Is the distribution symmetric?
If not, what is the skew? Are there any outliers? If so, which one(s)?
What is the SqFt area of the outlier(s)? Is the outlier(s) smaller or
larger than the average restaurant in the database? What can you conclude
from this observation?
What
measure of central tendency is more appropriate to describe Sales/SqFt?
Why?

Ursula K. Le Guin’s “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas”
In a short analysis, how is Omelas a microcosm of Canadian society? Upon which historical injustice is the prosperity of Canadian society constructed? How is does this injustice continue in the present? How would addressing it result in a shift in the societal mechanisms of prosperity development? Is justice for the child in the story possible, or desirable? What does it mean to walk away from Omelas? Is walking away enough? Is the child in the story a scapegoat, like Tessie, or is another mechanism at work?

Los Angeles Dodgers and Nike
The sport industry is comprised of more than just players
and teams. In this ever-changing field, a sport organization must have strong
sales to ensure its place in a super-competitive market. To maintain interest
and relevancy, sport organizations must invest large amounts of money into
players and promotions that keep the team in the spotlight of its fan base. To
supplement these costs, sport organizations often turn to sponsorships.
Sponsorships offer sport organizations the unique opportunity to partner with
other businesses in a way that benefits both parties. The sport organization
benefits financially, while the partnering business benefits through the
advertising or other agreed-upon terms of the sponsorship.
In this assessment, you will develop a pitch deck that
effectively communicates the information established in your pitch preparation.
Your pitch deck must be developed in a way that represents you and your sport
organization in a professional manner. The presentation must be designed with
the potential sponsor in mind, meaning that the information and visual elements
used must appeal to the sponsors interests. You will also need to develop
audio narration (which I will do later) and speaker notes to accompany your
pitch deck. Your pitch deck will be submitted as a PowerPoint presentation.
Pitch Deck: In this section of the project, you will take
the information gathered throughout your pitch preparation and develop a
presentation that effectively and professionally communicates your pitch to a
potential sponsor.
Your presentation must:
A. Clearly communicate the relevant information established
in the pitch preparation.
B. Contain professional-quality visual elements and
effectively represent the sport organization to the potential sponsor. (Was
told to use more graphics to show more from last project)
C. Be organized in a way that clearly communicates the
proposed business terms of the sponsorship.
Project to be 10 minimum and a max 15 slides, which can be added to the slides already provided. I will provide
the slides that start this project as well. Please add in the notes on each
slide speaker notes from the paper provided.

Paper Requirements:
Typed in 12 point font
Double spaced
6 pages in length (not including reference page)
Reference page
APA7 format
Include both an Introduction and Conclusion within in paper
NOTE: No outside reference is needed ( only Criminal Justice Ethics : theory and practice Cyndi Banks 2020)
Select a foreign disaster and discuss the local and national implications from the perspectives of the four phases of emergency management
Make sure to mention the national and global response and recovery efforts to said incident. A United States, Haiti, or Japan incident may not be selected as the topic of your paper.
Writing parameters
Between six and eight pages in length (not counting title page or bibliography).
APA formatting and citations will be used.
Make sure to carefully research your paper using peer-reviewed journals and widely published data.
View this detail from an EM-centric perspective, such as a missed opportunity, a lesson learned, or potential best practice, then explain why through the prism of the four phases of emergency management. This process should engender several key points (usually no more than three) upon which you can expand on. Your paper can then come together with your first section being your intro and thesis statement. Follow this with a brief explanation of your plan of action for the article. That should take about a page or so. Your next section should serve to amplify your thesis statement and offers supporting evidence by fleshing out your three or so main points. Again, this should take about a page for amplification and a page or so for each of your main points. Lastly, about a page or so that brings all the details together and proves your thesis as your conclusion. Then, add your recommendations for future, additional research based on your work on this paper. This gives to a place to mark the doorways of all the rabbit holes you wanted to go into, but you could not because of time and required length. This technique helps you demonstrate a deeper than awareness level of the subject matter you just researched. Now, all the page or so references I made above are not cast in stone. Instead, these should give you an approx iiimate idea of the thicknesses we both should be expecting to see. Additionally, if you measure it all out, you should be at six to page pages, of course not counting your header page and bibliography.
The American Revolution
As we have seen in this unit, the origins of the American Revolution were complicated. While the Declaration of Independence has long been viewed as the beginning of the Revolution, in reality, the storm had been brewing for decades by the time Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
In this essay, you will be analyzing and evaluating the causes of the American Revolution using both primary and secondary sources.
In the process, you will be practicing one of the key skills in the historical thinking: evidence-based argumentation. Learning to make a clear argument that is supported by specific evidence is essential to the kind of critical thinking that your time in college should help you develop.
Please ensure you read the following from the content of this unit:
Assigned Readings:
Ideas and Theories For and Against American Independence
Primary Source: The Rights of the British Colonies Asserted and Proved
Primary Source: Soame Jenyns and Samuel Johnson
Events Contributing to the Rise of an Independence Movement in the Colonies
see images below
Then, in an essay of at least 5 paragraphs and 1000 words:
identify the main arguments used by supporters and opponents of American independence and why each side thought their viewpoint was correct. Then, identify the events portrayed in each of the three images and explain why they occurred, and combined with what happened after each event, show how they support for independence to grow. You should not limit yourself to discussing only these three events; simply use these three to help shape an analysis of various cause-effect relationships between the British and colonist actions.
You should base your discussion with the information in the course content; outside research is not allowed. As always, be sure to keep track of where you find your information so that you can provide citations in your final essay. Citations must be formatted according to the MLA guidelines, including both in-text and a final source page. Guidelines for MLA can be found using the Purdue Owl or you can reference the Citation Help.pdf from the Start Here Module of the course.
Essays should be typed in 12-point font with a simple, clean font such as Times New Roman or Arial. Use 1″ inch margins on all sides and double-space the text.
Successful essays should be carefully organized, with strong thesis statements and specific evidentiary support from the primary sources themselves. Your introduction should include a clear statement of what you will argue in the essay (thesis statements are never questions). The body of the essay will include at least three paragraphs (though you can write more). Conclude by discussing the key conclusion you reached and why (remember not to use the first person in formal academic essays). Be sure to revise and edit carefully.
Please remember you should submit documents as JPG, PDF, RTF, PNG, DOC and DOCX only. Other formats will not be accepted. Also, please ensure documents are submitted vertically and not horizontally. Incorrect submission formats could impact your grade.
