Write a research paper using evidence to support a thesis that addresses your research question examining a current issue or event in the news from the perspective of your field of study. The audience is people who are generally educated but do not have extensive knowledge of your field or topic.

Take careful notes on Deegan’s development as presented in the video, including areas of current challenges and strengths. Note strategies used by his developmental therapist, as well as goals identified throughout the video.

Based on your notes from viewing Deegan’s Story and your knowledge of the importance of supporting access and participation through embedded interventions, uses the PowerPoint Template to create a PowerPoint presentation that will help the Scribbles staff better understand Deegan and think more about supporting access and participation in inclusive early childhood settings, and embedding evidence-based practices that align with individual goals for children in their everyday life at school.

Your presentation should include both talking points on the slides and narration. In your presentation, do the following: NOTE-(**** You could type it in text if you prefer to avoid including narration.

You are expected to write a research paper for this class. You are free to select a research question for this paper, but it must relate to either (1) pseudoarchaeology, or (2) more broadly a pseudoscientific claim. You should find a claim, identify the evidence that is offered in support of it, and then do your own research to evaluate the evidence and the claim. Part B of every paper is usually where the authors report their findings and analysis of the findings. This is often done with the help of statistics, facts, graphs, tables, etc. (however, it doesn’t have to be). Since your paper is more of a review paper than discovery-based research, you WILL NOT present original findings but discuss existing research.
The findings part is the more descriptive part – where you will report what the literature says about your topic. You can organize this section by themes, industries, or any other organizational structure that serves your argument.
You can think of your critical evaluation part in the following manner. This is where you tell the reader what the above findings mean (or how we should think about these findings). Would these practices work for all organizations? What might be the unintended consequences (risks, threats)? What are the potential benefits of adopting these practices (strengths, opportunities)?
Most reports will end with a recommendation part that is tailored to the specific client and their needs. You are NOT asked to provide any specific recommendations because you do not have a specific client. However, you can incorporate some ideas into your critical evaluation part.
