Describe the growing trend of alternatives to traditional burials, and explain two alternatives covered in the film. With the use of research, determine how frequently these practices are utilized, where in the United States they can be practiced, and how they impact the environment. Then, explore what method of disposal you would prefer and why.

Describe the HI induction surgery and the sham surgery that was performed on these rats.
1 – Title page with:
a) Title of experiment. Remember: A good title summarizes the main ideas of the paper.
b) Your name
c) The class: Psychology 3251
d) The due date: April 4th, 2023
2 – Abstract
An abstract should be short and should summarize the main findings of an experiment in the following order:
-The hypothesis or question(s) under investigation:
-The subjects (number, type of animal)
-The experimental design & procedure
-The results of the experiment (major findings)
-Whether the results supported the hypothesis
-Conclusions: implications &/or applications of your findings
3 – Introduction
The introduction presents the topic under study and briefly describes the research strategy.
Hints on writing a good introduction:
a) Provide background information on the topic you’re investigating (do not forget to backup this information with references). For example, describe hypoxia ischemia (HI) and its clinical significance.
b) Define the “scientific” terms specific to your topic. Describe the purpose of your study as it relates to previous research. For example, describe stereology and describe how it can be useful in the study of HI.
c) State your hypothesis(es) and explain why you think your analysis will turn out the way you expect it to.
d) Remember that the best way to write an introduction is to “tell a story” and “set the reader up” for the rest of the paper. Use your introduction to explain WHY you are conducting this study.
4- Method
The methods section is where you tell the reader what you did. Describe the experiment with enough detail that other researchers can replicate your study. Use the past tense & refer to Subjects in the 3rd person.
a) Subjects: For the experiment, how many brains did we measure? What type of animal? Males or females?
b) Procedure and Materials: Describe the HI induction surgery and the sham surgery that was performed on these rats. Describe extensively the procedure used in the point counting experiment. You should describe all materials and methods to the best of your ability. Use the protocols on HuskyCT as a guide if you have any
questions. Tell your reader exactly what you did so that your experiment can be replicated.
5- Results
Describe the major results of your study using words. Do not offer your opinions. Just say what happened; not why you think it happened. Save all interpretations for the discussion section. Make sure you include TWO graphs as discussed in class! Also, please be sure to report your statistics in appropriate APA format (hint: the F-statistic provided is already in APA format).
6 – Discussion
Here is where you interpret, qualify, and draw inferences from your results! Compare your findings to your hypothesis. Do your results support your hypothesis? If your hypothesis was supported by the results, discuss how your study helped resolve the problem you wished to investigate.
If your hypothesis was not supported by the results of your experiment, discuss what factors may have contributed to this outcome. Offer several alternative explanations and describe as many potential confounds & experimental errors as you can. You may wish to describe things you could do to improve the experiment if you were going to do it again.
In this section of the report you should state why this experiment was conducted. You can make up your own rational as long as it makes functional sense.
7 – IMPORTANT NOTE about in-text references:
You must use in-text citations whenever you cite information that is not common knowledge. You must cite authors even when you reword what they have written because you are still using their ideas.
In-text citations are constructed as follows:
Leggitt and Marvick (1997) found that…. Or “Previous researched showed…(last name, year); For example: (Dunnett, 1998) – for one author; (Dunnett & Smith, 1998) – two authors or (Dunnett et al., 1998) – three or more authors.
8 – References
In this section, you list the research cited in your paper.
a) References of journal articles: Author’s last name, Initials. (YEAR). Title of the article. Journal Title, Volume #, page #.
b) References of books: Author’s last name, Initials. (YEAR). Title of the book. Location of publisher: Publisher.
Potential sources of information for introduction & discussion sections of your paper can be found on HuskyCT in the Lab folder (two PDF journal articles).

Discuss the trends of unemployment and inflation rates over the past 10 years and provide your objective analysis of the changes in unemployment and inflation rates and the current rates.
Discuss the trends of unemployment and inflation rates over the past 10 years and provide your objective analysis of the changes in unemployment and inflation rates and the current rates. Place extra emphasis on the periods where unemployment or inflation was either too high or too low. Also state the effect of the high and low rates on GDP.
o Two Issues: Discuss the two unemployment-related issues you selected. Provide an overview of their trends and use facts to highlight the major changes in their trends and their current statuses. State the reason(s) why you believe these two issues represent a challenge for the economy.
• Reflection and Critical Thinking
Connect all the dots together by relating your above analysis to other areas in the macroeconomy. Basically, you will link changes in overall unemployment, the two unemployment related issues you selected, inflation, and GDP to one another and how they impacted each other during periods of economic decline (recessions) and periods of economic growth (expansion).
• Solution
o State which macroeconomic policy (monetary policy or fiscal policy) might resolve the issues you highlighted above, and state how this policy could be implemented and why it would solve these problems.
o Finally, provide your own solution. Basically, answer the following question.
What would you do to solve the macroeconomic issues you addressed if you were in charge of the U.S. economy? State why.
