Persuasive Essay about Gun Control in America

Persuasive essay topic that deals with the issue of how gun control is ineffectively used in America. The first body paragraph details how gun control only removes firearms from civilians, not criminals. The second body paragraph details how criminals won’t obey gun control laws and only arm themselves by other illegal means. The third body paragraph details how laws on combating poverty and lack of education should be the primary motivation for combating criminal behavior, and how there’s a connection between poverty and gun violence statistics. Main idea for this essay is to “persuade” an audience in your favor. I know it’s a sensitive topic discussing these issues in these times so please take care when writing.

Introduction: The introduction is where readers will have a chance to get an idea of what your essay will be about and what you will prove throughout. Do not go into too much detail here but give readers a preview of what is to come. Remember to review your writing plan to ensure that you are briefly hitting the key points you planned to cover while also stating your claim.
Provide an overview of the issue you have selected by briefly describing the main points and your argument.
Compose a thesis that states the argument that you will attempt to prove and support throughout your essay. This statement will give direction to your essay and should be well thought out.

Body: The body is your opportunity to describe and support your argument in depth. Make certain your thoughts and evidence are clear and organized in a way that is easy for readers to follow and understand.
Ensure that you write multiple focused paragraphs, clearly state their main idea, and move logically from one to the next, building the thesis argument as the essay progresses.

Your body paragraphs should support your argument by purposefully combining ideas with evidence from sources. The key to a persuasive essay is how well it is supported with quality evidence.

Address and refute at least one opposing viewpoint to your argument, which is your chance to discredit a significant opposing view and strengthen your argument in the process.

Conclusion: Think of the conclusion as a review of your argument. Use this section to restate your argument and remind readers of your supporting evidence. This paragraph is your last chance to persuade readers to agree with you.
Briefly summarize the main points of your essay. This section should consist of a brief review of your main ideas.
Draw conclusions based on your evidence.
Use evidence that you have found to wrap up the essay in a meaningful way that makes a connection to your audience.

Personal Statement for Dental Residency Applications

The essay must not exceed 4500 characters (including spaces). It should be in Times New Roman Font and 12 pt. Ideally I would like it to fit into a one page when single-spaced. My essay is going to be in a pile of thousands of personal statements so I need it to stand out and be more intriguing to read for the admissions council. Also I feel like my ideas aren’t conncected well so can you make it have a better flow of ideas when transitioning between paragraphs? I will be applying to periodontics residencies so I need my essay to protray that very well. I would like to use a more impactful tone, so instead of just stating what I have accomplished, I would want the essay to protray my contributions and how I have impacted/improved the field. I would like to sound more confident too. I will also attach my resume so you can use that information in my essay.

Part 3. Pick one subject and one grade (Math or ELA Mississippi Standards). Then select one standard (or combination for that grade/subject) and create one small activity/assignment that aligns to that standard. Be sure to identify which standard you are aligning to for your activity/assignment. Be very descriptive in your directions.

Part 4. Reflection. Discuss your experience with this activity. Include implications for educational leadership. Why is knowledge in the area of curriculum imperative for an administrator?Assignment 2: Below are links to the Mississippi Department of Education College and Career Ready Standards for Math and English language arts. A critical art analysis baed on the article

This is a Buddhism and Psychology course.
Students are expected to submit a 4 to 6-page paper offering a critical analysis of Freud and the Buddha. Students may also consider why they chose this particular article and how it might relate to their life experiences.
It must be a reflective and analytical paper that addresses all features in The Art of Analysis. Also, please carefully read through the grading rubric. No outside sources needed, but if you must, please do research.

What were you curious about on the Problems posting forum in Module 1? OR what health care topic interests you, and why you chose a new topic?

As we learned in this module Systematic Reviews differ from Literature Reviews in that Systematic Reviews use a multitude of articles to review a specific topic. Learning the importance of, and ability to access them, will benefit you greatly as you move forward in your career. Systematic Reviews can help you stay current in your field and allow you to review a great deal of new research information that is constantly entering the field, efficiently and effectively.
Please go to the COCHRANE REVIEWS (abstract and summaries) using the link below. Look around this extremely interesting site and see if you can find a Systematic Review that relates in some way to the research problem you identified in Module 1.
If you are unable to find a COCHRANE REVIEW (abstract and summaries) that relates in some way to your proposed experiment, locate a COCHRANE REVIEW (abstract and summaries) that interests you. Be sure to tell us why you are choosing a new topic that differs from your first module post.
Do NOT buy the full review
Go to the COCHRANE REVIEWS website and click on the Browse free summaries link: https://www-cochranelibrary-com.db24.linccweb.org/ (opens in new tab)
If you have difficulty accessing the database of reviews, be sure to contact the HEC librarians for assistance.
Tip: as you read through the “evidence” summary, note that you can point your cursor at a number of word with dotted underlines in order to see detailed explanations for their meaning or relevance. This is an excellent tool to help you gain further understanding of many important concepts related to the study itself, as well as Research concepts in general. Be sure to spend some time with this. I think that you will find that it adds more tools to your Research toolbox.
Please POST your answers to the following questions. All questions must be answered for full credit. Remember to provide citations and references.
What were you curious about on the Problems posting forum in Module 1? OR what health care topic interests you, and why you chose a new topic?
Which Cochrane Review did you choose to read?
What were the findings of this systematic review?
What do these findings mean to you?
To conclude your posting on this topic, please post the URL that will take us directly to the review you assessed.
Remember, this course is about recognizing and using evidence. So, in order to earn full points, you will need to support each of your postings with the appropriate evidence.

Final paper intro to crimonolgy

Below you will find a list of final paper topics. With the exception of the last two topics, you have room to customize the direction you wish to take within the broader topic. For instance, if you chose Cultural Explanation of Crime, you could explore one culture or compare two cultures or generically look at the intersection of culture and crime. You have some flexibility. The last two topics are a bit more specific and have guidelines as given. Regardless which topic you choose, the APA7 guidelines will be the same and they are given below.
Here are the general topics:
1. The Role of Media in Criminology
2. Cultural Explanation of Crime
3. Personality Traits that Trigger Criminal Behavior
4. Community Deterioration and Crime Rates
5. Education and Criminal Behavior
6. Childhood Trauma on Criminal Behavior
7. Mental Health and Criminal Behavior
8. Socioeconomic Status and Criminal Behavior, Including Types of Crimes
Here are the two specific topics:
1. Homicide: what motivates one person to kill another?
a. For this topic, you must explore and explain why people kill other people from each of the four main criminological categories (Classical, Biological, Psychological, and Sociological).

2. Why do people commit acts of terrorism?
a. For this topic, you must select just one of the four main criminological categories (Classical, Biological, Psychological, and Sociological) and use it to explain why people commit acts of terrorism.
b. You may use the category generically or use one particular theory within the category for your explanation.

Here are the APA 7 requirements:
1. Minimum 8 pages (does not include cover page and references page)
2. Double-spaced
3. Times New Roman 12pt font (must be in this font)
4. 1” margins
5. APA7 Cover Page
6. APA7 References Page
7. Use of paper-specific headings
8. At least three outside scholarly sources
9. At least one in-text citation for each of these sources
