Sexual Violence and Assualt Amongst Sex Workers.

An Argumentative Essay
Please follow instructions carefully.

Thesis Statement – In this essay I will argue that because of the criminalization of sex work, sex workers around the world are subject to sexual violence and assault, which violates their inherent right, in the course of their work, and how such violence against sex workers can be reduced by decriminalizing sex work.

Note:
1. Can you research the different regulatory models – models how to regulate sex work.
2. I am opposed to the Nordic Model – The Nordic model is a Feminist model – Decriminalize sex workers themselves but maintain criminal sanction of clients. Which inadvertently targeting and negatively affecting sex workers. This model re-criminalizes sex worker without violating their constitutional rights. Canada and Sweden– Nordic Model – explain why this model is not a good one.
3. My solution to this problem is to decriminalize sex work. And treat sex work as a legitimate industry then all the laws that applies that we already have in place can be applied to sex workers… and theoretically that will regulate the industry.

Please explain the difference between Legalization of Sex Work, and the Decriminalization of Sex Work. In explaining the difference, please use Amsterdam as a country that legalized sex work.

NB. Looking at New Zealand, the country that has come closest to fully Decriminalization of Sex Work, and advocating that Canada does the same.

Sarah Hunt – Indigenous Scholar who is arguing for the decolonization of sex work. Factor this in, in arguing for the decriminalization of sex work.

Request an appointment for a brief meeting.
Identify a set of 4-5 questions that you would hope to ask.
