Hallucinogens and Psychedelics have been used for centuries. Many cultures have believed that these substances take them to a spiritual place where they are able to see beyond the earth. However, this appears not to be the case in American culture where the use of hallucinogens and psychedelics have no clinical benefit but are used to enhance the party effect. For this discussion, you will use the text, and at least two other sources, to take two opposing positions.

One; you are a “salesperson” of hallucinogens and psychedelics at a party. Convince me why should buy these substances and use them, (investigate how much these substances cost), at the party. Two; you are my best friend who is knowledgeable of the cons of using these substances. Convince me not to buy or use them. Read these out loud to someone in your family and ask them which “convincing” sounds more appealing.

You are an experienced BCBA who is consulting at a startup ABA company. About six months ago, the owner asked you to design a shaping procedure for staff attendance. Good news! Your plan was effective! Staff attendance significantly improved in months two through four and reached desired levels in month five. However, in the last 3-4 weeks, the data reflects an increase in staff call outs. The owner will be opening a second location in about six months from now. They would like for attendance to return to the improved levels of month five and for that improved attendance to carry over to the new location.

Detail three approaches you could incorporate into the shaping procedure that would increase the probability of the desired attendance occurring in the new location, as well as future clinic locations.

2. “Some women don’t want to have sex during pregnancy, and that’s OK. Some women do want to have sex during pregnancy, and that’s OK, too. What needs to stop is society telling women what they can and cannot do with their bodies. Pregnant women are not faceless, identity-less vessels of reproduction.”

a. Comment on the above quote from Sofia Jawed-Wassel’s lecture. What are some societal judgments that are particular to Black pregnant women, according to Lisa Rosenthal and Marci Lobel? How does Cardi B’s performance of “Wild Side” in the music video on Instagram push against misogynoir perceptions of pregnant people?

3. “The overall importance of hair to general body-image was highlighted repeatedly in the focus groups as being of great importance to Black women. It emerged as the most frequent and important body image domain for women. One participant reported that her hair influenced her self-confidence as a whole: ‘when your hair is right, you just have better confidence in yourself and it’s just a big thing for the hair to be straight. And not like straight as in texture but just like right.’”
Germaine Awad’s article (quoted above) focuses on 3 elements that demonstrate the overall importance of hair to Black women: microaggressions, sacrifice, and pride related to hair.
a. Give examples of all 3 from Awad’s article. Taken together, what do these examples suggest the personal and political importance of Black women’s hair?
b. How do societal judgements about body hair also affect Black women’s body image?
c. Given the importance of hair to Black women, why do you think Cardi B chose to make a comic song about weaves and a video with comic depictions of body hair? How could you use the readings for this unit to support Cardi B’s claim that she’s “just trying to help the world” with “Cheap Ass Weave” and “Bongos”?

 

Take this information but narrow the argument to focus on the intersection with education (may need to find primary sources on education, identity, and immigration). Write as an expert adding something new to the argument, not a review of the current scholarly argument.

 

Topic: Research Review 2

Based on the topic you chose in your first week’s discussion and any feedback you received, search for at least three (3) sources from Journals or/and conference proceedings papers, research organizations that discuss/address your topic of interest and research questions (Note: use the databases listed below to search for papers).

The main objective of reading these papers is to understand what other researchers and practitioners have done to address your topic of interest and your questions in your first week’s discussion. After reading the papers, create an annotated bibliography table (shown below) to summarize what each research found about your topic of interest.

Write a summary description of what you have found and documented in your annotated bibliography. Please remember that your discussion postings should be approximately 150-300 words.
Attach a copy of the table to your post. This table should help you track the list of papers/research you are reviewing and summarize the findings to help you prepare your final presentation. You should update the table in the following weeks’ discussions to build up your annotated bibliography. Your post should only summarize your insights from your readings for this week.

Determine the free cash flow for the last two most recent years for the two companies. Select one company on each of the two different domestic (U.S.) stock exchanges to review. Free cash flow is defined as cash flow from operations minus capital expenditures. Explain how a company’s free cash flow affects its growth potential. Include the inferences you can draw from a company’s free cash flow. Complete the Company Analysis section including the Industry and the names of the three companies. Net Income is a generally accepted accounting principle (GAAP). The Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) is not GAAP, because it usually presents more favorable numbers. Complete the Balance Sheet section for each company’s Total Assets, Total Liabilities, and Total Stockholder’s Equity. Calculate the following three ratios for each company and enter the results in the template (the formulas to calculate the ratios are provided in the template). Debt-to-Equity Ratio. Gross Margin. Operating Margin. Please list the figures used for the calculation of each ratio. Calculate the following ratios for each company using the 10k annual report and enter the results in the template (the formulas to calculate the ratios are provided in the template).

Profitability ratios. Efficiency ratios. Leverage ratios. Liquidity ratios. Discuss three takeaways or an analysis of what you have learned about each company based on their financial data. Include at least one paragraph for each company in the Template.

View your assigned video case and review the additional data for the case in the “Case History Reports” document, keeping the requirements of the evaluation template in mind.
Consider what history would be necessary to collect from this patient.
Consider what interview questions you would need to ask this patient.
Identify at least three possible differential diagnoses for the patient.

Subjective: What details did the patient provide regarding their chief complaint and symptomology to derive your differential diagnosis? What is the duration and severity of their symptoms? How are their symptoms impacting their functioning in life?

Objective: What observations did you make during the psychiatric assessment?
Assessment: Discuss the patient’s mental status examination results. What were your differential diagnoses? Provide a minimum of three possible diagnoses with supporting evidence, listed in order from highest priority to lowest priority. Compare the DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria for each differential diagnosis and explain what DSM-5-TR criteria rules out the differential diagnosis to find an accurate diagnosis. Explain the critical-thinking process that led you to the primary diagnosis you selected. Include pertinent positives and pertinent negatives for the specific patient case.

Reflection notes: What would you do differently with this client if you could conduct the session over? Also include in your reflection a discussion related to legal/ethical considerations (demonstrate critical thinking beyond confidentiality and consent for treatment!), health promotion and disease prevention taking into consideration patient factors (such as age, ethnic group, etc.), PMH, and other risk factors (e.g., socioeconomic, cultural background, etc.).

Write a 3-4 page value chain analysis on Fowler’s Farm using the information found in Case Study 2-47 of your textbook.
