Chapter 4 AND Chapter 6 READER RESPONSE

INSTRUCTIONS FORM PROFESSOR FOR BOTH ASSIGNMENTS:
Please choose a concept or idea from Chapter 4 and chapter 6 and do the following:
engage, negotiate, and apply the course text to demonstrate an understanding of the concepts.
Specifically, Reader Response Discussions will:
Engage: Present an idea or concept from the week’s reading that you found to be compelling.
Negotiate: Test the idea-does your experience push for agreement? Why or why not? Can you support your negotiation with a concrete example (your own, your peer’s, or Repko et al.’s)?
Apply: How could this idea be useful in your life or community (academic or other)?
You may choose to briefly mention something from previous discussions, but you are required to integrate it into the assigned text for the Module. Responses lacking a reference to Repko et al.’s text will forfeit points.
Although a formal citation is not necessary at this point in the semester, please indicate the page number when you refer to the text.
Each response should be the equivalent of one page in length per chapter assignment (one page for the concept of choice for chapter 4 and one page for the I concept of choice for chapter 6) (Times New Roman, 12point font, double-spaced). You should divide the Response into 3 paragraphs that align with the above instructions.
These discussions will be graded more on the level of engagement with the text than on formal aspects of academic writing, but they should be written clearly and with the audience (your professor and classmates) in mind.
