**Speech and PowerPoint presentation to go with the speech needed**
Prompt:
The CFO of your company recently announced that your
company’s charitable foundation will be donating an additional $10,000 to a
non-profit organization next year and are currently seeking proposals as to how
to spend the allocated funds.
To complete this presentation, you will do the following:
1. 1. Select
a non-profit organization you would like to present to the CFO and the
charitable foundation board. The goal is
to secure the allocated funds for your non-profit organization.
(Already selected The Children Heart Foundation)
After selecting your non-profit
organization, your task is to:
(1) introduce your audience to the need or social
injustice in your community that your non-profit combats,
(2) present the
solution (your non-profit),
(3) address any potential objections,
(4) have your
audience visualize how the funding will better your community, and
(5) ask for
the $10,000 funding on behalf of your non-profit.
I already have an outline with all the above points, which I am going to upload to the order for your use.
This presentation should follow the Motivated
Sequence (See this link for the explanation of the motivated sequence method: https://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/MonroeMotivatedSequence.htm). I will also provide info on my sister’s experience as a heart patient (you’ll see what I mean when you read the uploaded outline). The rubric has also been uploaded.
2. Create
a 6-to-8-minute proposal about your non-profit. If your presentation is short or long, points
may be deducted. The speaking style
employed should be extemporaneous, which means that you should be well-rehearsed and prepared. This does not
mean that you should memorize or read the speech. Work for both effective physical and vocal
delivery. You are allowed to use
notecards for this speech but avoid relying on them too much because this can
distract from the performance.
Incorporate proper visual aids (PowerPoint or Prezi) to entice you
audience and to assist you in the clarity of your presentation—a visual
aid is a requirement, not a suggestion.

3. You
are required to locate at least 5 different sources to cite within the
speech. Make sure
t sources are
credible (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, personal blogs, and Wikipedia are not
credible sources). These sources should
be cited orally in the presentation and included on a bibliography within your
submitted outline.
