Citizen Kane is widely considered among the greatest films ever made. It’s almost 80 years old and it still makes almost every critic’s top 10 list, and of course it figures prominently in your book.
In two paragraphs or more (12pt., double spaced):
Pick one scene from the movie (your choice) to analyze which you feel demonstrates why the movie remains one of the most appreciated films of all time, appearing in most critics top 10 of all time lists.
Please identify the time that the scene appears in the movie (i.e. at 20 minutes into the movie or an hour and 15 minutes into the movie, etc.)
In your analysis, you should address at least three different aspects of the scene (i.e. sound, editing, cinematography, mise-en-scene, etc.).
Remember analysis isn’t just identifying but also commenting on the impact of these decisions.
