Paper three will be a claim of policy, also known as a proposal. In this paper, you will argue that there is some type of problem that needs to be addressed, and you will also offer a solution to that problem while keeping in mind the elements of Rogerian argument.
1. Introduction: Introduces the problem, establishes why it is a problem, and points out how both the writer and the reader are affected (establishes common ground)
2. Present the reader’s view of the problem (hostile audience)
3. Presents the writer’s view of the problem (includes evidence to support writer’s viewpoint)
4. Shows how the reader would benefit from moving toward the writer’s solution (includes evidence to support the writer’s viewpoint)
5.Explain why your solution is feasible and worthwhile (includes evidence to support the writer’s viewpoint)
6. Address possible objections to your solution
7. Conclusion: Strong concluding statement that answers the “why does this matter?” question
