cognitive-behavioral therapy

Intervention & therapy:

Written Assignment #2 Cognitive-Behavioral Theory Paper
This assignment requires that you select either cognitive theory, behavior theory, or combine cognitive-behavioral theory and apply it to a case situation that you presently have contact with or have worked with in the past (in a field practicum or employment experience). Please address the following issues:
1. How does this theory fit with a clinical social work perspective? This requires that you define clinical social work practice.
2. Provide a theory driven problem statement and assessment of the client system in the environment. This should include how and why you believe the problem occurred, based on the developmental concepts and nature of problems that the theory suggests.
3. Consider and thoroughly discuss the key theoretical concepts of the theory
4. Formulate a beginning intervention plan that includes goals, strategies to help alleviate the
problem (s) and criteria that you and the client system will use to determine whether the problem is resolved. Consider the ethical and value dilemmas that may present as you plan your intervention.
5. Remember that all theories include:
• structural and developmental concepts about people and developmental concepts about people, and
• assumptions about the nature of the individual, the nature of problems and the nature of change.

Your paper should demonstrate evidence of your familiarity with the theoretical literature on the chosen theory with regard to clinical social work practice.

I have an old paper on CBT, I would like to use this paper as a conduit or reference. Any part of the paper can be reused as it is my own paper. A considerable amount of the paper can be used for this assignment, I would like for you to add and succinct my old paper to the new assignment instructions.
