Cognitive Function

THE TOPIC FOR THE PAPER IS COGNITIVE FUNCTION

Annotated bibliographies offer encompassing views of the scholarly research on a particular topic. They allow you to convey a lot of information in a very short amount of text. The annotated bibliography is meant to help your group gain an understanding on the literature that is being covered for the presentation without having to become an expert on all five of the articles.

For this assignment each group member will take one or two of the five peer-reviewed articles (depending on the size of the group) and become an expert on that article. After reviewing your article, share your annotation(s) in a group discussion page. Your peers will then offer constructive feedback on how to improve your annotation to fulfill the requirements and rubric on this assignment. Be prepared to answer questions from your peers about your article.

On the final submission of your bibliography, your group should have at least five annotations in a single document in the following format:
Citation of article (Please use APA citation since this is a psychology course. Improper citations will result in a deduction of points.)
Group member in charge of the annotation
One or two sentences summarizing the literature review of the article
Purpose of the study in a sentence
Research design and methodology in several sentences
Basic summary of results and findings
Description of the implications of the study in several sentences
Description of limitations of the article
Thoughts from the group leader on the article as needed throughout annotation

Group members are encouraged to help each other by offering feedback on what should be included in the annotation when needed. Remember that you are all in this together! Because of the short module, you are expected to find a time to meet or work together for this assignment and during the week of the research presentations.
