Paradigm Paper (100 points)
Description:
Students will write a paper comparing the metatheoretical assumptions, identifying the paradigm they most gravitate towards and the metatheoretical assumptions that inform that paradigm, and proposing a research question or hypothesis that fits within that paradigm. Papers must adhere to APA 7th style and format and should be submitted on Blackboard on the day indicated on the tentative daily schedule. The paper should be a minimum of 800 words. The title page and references do not count towards 800 words.
Note: you can connect your paradigm paper to research questions/hypotheses activity if you want to, but you don’t have to.
Feel free to share with me a draft of your paper before the due date if you want me to look at it!

How the checklist converts to letter grades:
To earn an A, all items in major categories (RQs/Hs, Metatheoretical Assumptions, & Research Paradigms) must be checked. Organization & Writing Quality categories may have two unchecked items (combined).
To earn a B, all items in the major categories (RQs/Hs, Metatheoretical Assumptions, and Research Paradigms) need to be checked except for ONE. Organization and writing quality categories may have THREE missing items (combined).
To earn a C, all items in the major categories (RQs/Hs, Metatheoretical Assumptions, and Research Paradigms) need to be checked except for TWO. Organization and writing quality categories may have FOUR missing items (combined)
To earn a D, all items in the major categories (RQs/Hs, Metatheoretical Assumptions, and Research Paradigms) need to be checked except for THREE. Organization and writing quality categories may have FIVE missing items (combined)
To earn an F, all items in the major categories (RQs/Hs, Metatheoretical Assumptions, and Research Paradigms) need to be checked except for FOUR. Organization and writing quality categories may have SIX missing items.
