-Use subheadings to divide up your paper appropriately.

-Use Times New Roman or related font, 12 pt. font (not smaller or larger)

-Include a reference page and accurately cite your sources on the reference page (using APA 7TH edition formatting requirements)

-Use in-text citations (Author last name, year of publication, p. #) throughout your paper to give credit to your sources. Failure to properly cite your sources will result in a reduced grade.

-You must use at least 4 outside sources (your textbook counts as one. You must also use academic journal articles, which is described below). Wikipedia and online dictionaries are NOT acceptable sources.

Requirements:

Divide your paper into these three parts and label them as Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and References

Part 1: Explain what it means that intercultural communication is dialectical. Then, summarize and explain the six intercultural communication dialectics described in Chapter 2. Cite your textbook in your explanations. (10 points)

Part 2: Provide an in-depth example of each dialectic based on your own experiences. In other words, describe and explain how you have experienced each of these dialectics. (10 points)

Part 3: Using our online library resources, find THREE academic journal articles (not news or magazine articles) that have been published in peer-reviewed academic journals that have examined intercultural communication dialectics. Summarize each article by stating 1) who they studied, how they studied them (what methods? interviews? surveys? textual analysis?), 2) what they concluded, and 3) what understanding they add to intercultural communication through their study. Use in-text citations when you summarize each article. Include each article in a reference page.
