1)Clarify the definitions of the terms used. City of Chicago or State of Illinois? Keep in mind that your final reflection in which you will report on accomplishments and outcomes is due week 10 so you will need to modify your week 10 action steps.

1) What I’m Taking With Me
What are your goals for the future? According to Rogat-Loeb, “We compose lives of commitment….by continually asking what we believe in, and then devising ways to participate in public life that mesh our convictions with our circumstances”. 1) What small steps can you take toward reaching your civic goals that are realistic given your life circumstances? 2) Share at least one idea from our readings, activities and discussions that you take with you as we conclude this course…..an idea that will help you to make choices about civic engagement.
2) Sharing stories of community engagement
In this discussion, describe your project and share a story from it….something that happened that will stay with you. What did you learn? Then, let other students know what their story means to you.
