A comparative analysis of civil society initiatives that offer citizens the opportunity to do something about corruption will help you gain a deeper understanding of why and how these initiatives emerge, the factors influencing their tactics and their effectiveness in bringing corruption under control.

1. Why did the grass-roots initiative emerge?
2. What specific tactics does/ did it employ to tackle corruption? Specifically, how does/did it involve ordinary people?
3. How effective are/ were these tactics?
4. What are the key indicators of the initiative’s impact on corruption?

It is a comparative analysis of 2 different grassroots initiatives. So I would like the National Foundation for Democracy and Human Rights in Uganda (NAFODU) and MUHURI (Muslims for Human Rights) in Mombasa, Kenya to be analysed.
