Use at least three pieces of evidence taken from the
textbook and lectures. This means you will have at least three body paragraphs
in addition to your Introduction and Conclusion.
At least one piece of evidence must be from a lecture.
One piece of your argument/evidence must be from before
1492, or pre-contact history.
A piece of evidence can be a specific event, a change of
circumstances for a specific group of people, or a transformation to a specific
region, for example. BE CREATIVE. There is no right or wrong answer. If you
have an argument and you back it up with evidence, you are writing an
analytical or argumentative paper.
Americas” means North America, South America, or the
Caribbean/West Indies. Think the Western Hemisphere.
“Landscape” can mean the literal landscape, such as
land, and it can also mean the economic, political, or social landscape as it
relates to certain people, groups of people, or regions. The social landscape
can mean many things.
You must provide full and proper citations of
the source by using endnotes or footnotes. PARENTHETICAL OR
IN-TEXT CITATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Citations provided at the end
of the document in a Works Cited document is NOT appropriate.
