Compare and Contrast essay, with the two stories “Soldiers Home by Ernest Hemingway and “Sonnys Blues” by James Baldwin. I will be comparing their traumas, and how they are dealing with their traumas in different ways.
Possible thesis: Although characters Sonny and Krebs deal with different traumas, both find themselves trying to steer past the neglecting aspect they receive once returning to home, and struggling to find support from their families.

Paragraph 2: differences in stories and characters traumas
sonny went through a terrible drug addiction and still struggles to steer away from it. Krebs is dealing with the war trauma and struggling with interactions with people from his home town, and them not understanding. he feels more alone with no support, whereas sonny is getting support to stay away from the drugs and help him deal with it.
