Areas that you can address:
1. Compare the early rock music that teens listened to in the 1950’s and the music that teens listen to today.
2. Look at the family makeup, family values etc. of the 1950’s are compared to today. Does the music of the particular time affect these?
3. Parental and social expectations of teenagers then 1950’s and now.
4. Dress and Fashion Then vs. Now and does/did the music of the time effect this?
5. How music and musical artists influence teens Then vs Now
Topic 2: Discuss the parenting styles of people that grew up in the late 60’s, 70’s or 80’s How does the music and culture that they experienced affect the way they raised their children.
Areas that you can address: Contrast
1. Parents that grew up listening to Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin , Grateful Dead. (Woodstock era)
2. Parents that grew up listening to Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc
3. Parents that grew up listening to Folk Rock, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez etc.
4. Parents that grew up listening to Hip Hop, Rap etc.
4. Other genres of Rock in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s
Technical requirements:
Use 1″ margins
Use 12 point “Times New Roman” Font
The paper must have a Heading and Title with your name on it.
