Create a 15-Minute Narrated Slide Presentation that compares and contrasts at least three examples of art and architecture produced in South and South East Asia and The Americas (North, Central, and South America). Using the language learnt in video lectures, supplementary videos and reading materials consider how artworks embody particular religious beliefs, social values or cultural norms.
A few things to keep in mind:
Make sure you take a comparative approach and consider how artworks were made, how, by whom, and for what reason.
Keep in mind who commissioned/paid for them and how that might have had an effect on the final
look/version of your chosen work.
Think if the pieces you selected have anything in common (for example: a purpose, a function,
similar patrons, similar looks).
The most important question you should address is what kind of ideas (political, religious, economic, etc.) were they trying to communicate and what artistic methods did they use to create symbolic meaning? Were these values and artistic techniques specific to a culture or were they more widespread
