Medical marijuana is a controversial subject that appears in the news on a regular basis. Should it be legalized for medical purposes or any purpose as some states have done (e.g. Colorado and California)? To help the student better understand the advantages and disadvantages of marijuana, the student will write a 4-5 page (not including the title and reference page) essay that will cover the following topics:
Define, discuss, and explain what marijuana is – 30 points.
Analyze, synthesize, and discuss the medical benefits of marijuana – 30 points.
Compare, contrast, AND discuss the pros and cons of legalizing marijuana for medical purposes only versus all purposes .
Give your opinion if after researching the topic if it changed your opinion – 10 points.
The paper will use APA format, be double-spaced, 12 point font, and either Arial or Times New Roman font.
