o Stylistic devices: aspects of texts (such as words, sentences, images), how they are arranged, and how they affect meaning; examples of stylistic devices include narrative viewpoint, approaches to characterisation, structure of stanzas, juxtaposition, nominalisation and lexical choice
o Thesis is less rigid, may go beyond a statement based solely on the texts.
