Considering that Pepperdine is a Christian university, why are you interested in attending and how would you contribute to conversations of faith on campus?

Pepperdine is a Christian university where all are welcomed and encouraged to challenge each other in the pursuit of truth. Students, faculty, and staff members from all backgrounds participate in conversations of faith inside and outside of the classroom. Considering that Pepperdine is a Christian university, why are you interested in attending and how would you contribute to conversations of faith on campus?
Religion is like a code of ethics based on personal faith and belief, essential to a community since it dictates their moral standards and way of living. Being raised in a religious environment, where my father has a degree in theology and evangelism from a nearby church, Christianity is deeply rooted in my core. But it was not until I saw how my friends struggled from stress and depression as a result of domestic violence, racism, and community conflicts that I decided to devote myself to Christianity to evangelize the need for peace, love, happiness, unity, equity, equality and freedom in creating one society. I have performed various plays in my church, and acting is one of the key ways I connect to my church. I can transform the Christian Union by enrolling in the Theater Acting course and using plays and artworks to promote peace, unity, and kindness for a better economy.
Pepperdine University has been my dream school since Dr. Robert Woodcock came to minister at my church some years ago. He preached about [INSERT HERE]. I felt so touched by his message of unity and equality. I wanted to be part of his great team so that I may reach greater heights of sharing the gospel to enhance peace in the global community. As a result of Dr. Woodcock’s visit, I served in the prayer ministry in my church and wanted to continue with this service at Pepperdine University. I dream of living to help others, and enacting a positive change in my global community is what I dream of achieving with a Pepperdine education. Watching the series of killings, racism, conflicts, and hatred in the world has been devastating, and since God gave us the mission to serve His people, it is our time to minister and spread one message of unity and love.
Having ministered in various church and community programs, I feel that I have a lot to bring to Pepperdine University as I learn from them. First, it will be a pleasure to join and be part of the Theater Club of Pepperdine University. My strong belief is that we can transform society in these times of war, inequality, and killings through activities such as plays portraying kindness, the essence of equality, kindness, among other issues which can tie the society together. Engaging in the student ministries has always been my passion since my childhood days, and I would be excited to serve in the prayer ministry for the glory of everyone and God. Having undertaken various mentorship programs in leadership and coordination, my skills and capabilities might greatly impact the student ministry and my Theatre Acting Club.
With peace, love, and one understanding, we can achieve unity in our society, which may help build our economies further without any economic and political conflicts. Being in Pepperdine University and particularly in the Christian ministry, we have the opportunity to operate on a larger scope of our community because of adequacy in resources, and I think we will bring a great change to our community and the leadership. Being at Pepperdine University is a dream come true, and I am glad to be part of the Theater Major club and Christian Union of the institution, which aspires to change the world through massive global artwork and acting on pressing issues.
